I would love to know what the management team says to the players at half time. Time and time we come out for the second half with either nothing changed when we're losing, or come out looking completely clueless .

Pardew obvs told his players to be more direct. Fucks know what LMH does, but it fails 9 times out of 10
Urgh, frustrating game. Great first half but we're too happy to had the reigns back to the opposition.

Something like "It's hot lads have a rest" "We're safe for next season so don't bother too much" "I'm just playing some guys I want rid of" oh and "Let that old tw*t Riv moan" "We're off o America soon on our jolly up".
Should record them so the fans can hear WTF goes on.

I should think his team talk ran along the lines of
"Great first half lads.
Just remember that we're always stronger in the second half of the season because of our superior conditioning.
Now that we've moved onto the next level with all our flair we'll batter them second half. We'll ping in a couple of decent corners and we could run up a cricket score.
Remember, Palace have got nothing to play for and they'll be taking it easy before the cup final. We just need to keep it tight at the back.
We're so much better away from home these days but if things don't go to plan I'll sort it all out with a couple of cunning substitutions. I'd like to throw on a couple of youngsters when we get the lead.
Go on boys, bit of passion second half!"
Or perhaps not

I've said it on other threads that we start the 2nd half of games regularly on the back foot, why?

Need a lot more Steel in the defense and midfield and TATA is not the place to look.
Need players with character and a will to win win win

Things have to change... you cannot keep coming out second half and look tactically clueless and powder puff.
Where was the "keep it tight at the back now lads make it hard for them to get back in"
2 minuets later 3 powder puff challenges and game over

I've long since questioned Hughes motivational skills - this slightly grumpy yet enigmatic demeanour doesn't translate to a fired-up team.....unfortunately ...

Correct he looks like he does not give a fuck, his body language is shocking his interviews are bland and uninspiring, it is little wonder the players look pretty much as they are taking their lead from the manager.

Suppose you've overlooked my earlier post saying that LMH has been unlucky and that Coates should give him time?

Surely as the boss, you've picked your team, given them the briefing and generally got them all ready. To then not put in an appearance (as posted earlier) until the end is ludicrous. Essentially absolving yourself. You'd want him in there sorting the gig out. For all I know it may be common practice, but if he's not in the dressing room that's a 20 minute gap to fill somewhere. Winning losing or drawing you'd have thought he'd at least reinforce any earlier messages or make any appropriate changes. Whatever the routine is it doesn't seem to be having the desired effect.

Agreed, some people moronically claim a manager waving their arms about wont win games, but direction from the touchline is much more than that. Today after being battered early second half Hughes didn't make any subs, he didn't offer any instruction he just sat there on his arse. Passive. It is a recurring theme. Against Swansea when we were 2-0 up we stopped working 2nd half, with Afellay and Joselu crying out to be subbed. But did he try and get the players going again, or make any subs? No. Passive. Again, against man city, first minute they cruise through our midfield and get in behind the defence. Does Hughes give the midfield a bollocking tell the defence to switch on? No. Hughes' passive way of managing, for me, smacks of an arrogance of "we are better than them; just outplay them" this season of all seasons has proven nobody has the right to beat anyone and you have to fight and graft for points. No surprise the 2 top teams in the league aren't the teams that have most possession, or have the best players, but work the hardest. If we had worked half as hard as Leicester have this season we could have achieved something special. Instead this season has been a huge missed opportunity.
