Carrying this in to next season can't be good. We start as we finished and it will be a disaster.
We need a major major overhaul in the summer and all below will probably leave. We need to spend some money my god...
Given Haugaard Wolly Muniesa Wilson Tex Ireland Crouch Joselu

Hard to put your finger on what's going wrong - but so dispiriting to end the season in this listless, bumbling fashion.
2016 has seen 3 really good performances (Bournemouth, Watford, Chelsea) in a sea of unadulterated rubbish.

Butland has saved us (excuse the pun) from real problems this season.

Butland's injury has been the disaster that I knew it would be.
With him fit again- and hopefully a more competent reserve keeper backing him up- we won't look anywhere near as fragile.

Given Haugaard Wolly Muniesa Wilson Tex Ireland Crouch Joselu Most of the players you identify have had little or no part to play in the current crap run of form. I suggest some of the problems lie with some of the players who are considered 'untouchable' because of reputation.

Ever since the defeat at Liverpool in the cup semi we've been very dodgy indeed. The manager needs to get a hold of himself and remember that he used to be a World class striker................he seems tactically clueless when it comes to breaking the opponents down, finding his best team, what style of football to play and more. Get it together Hughes !!

Agree with this, though it still really worries me that Butland's sensational early season form papered over a lot of defensive cracks.

Maybe there is some fight in Joselu? We are a disaster. Our style, tactics are non existing. IMO muniesa is our backup left back, and needed for CB cover. Wollscheid will be starting at CB again. And Joselu shouldn't be behind crouch.

Should we ever get dragged into a battle, we're fucked
the likes of Bojan & Shaqiri haven't got the mettle

Butland was sensational because the back 4 was consistently shite, trouble is that consistency persisted after he was injured as we now find to our cost

Wolly is once again the scapegoat. He was our best defender for a long spell during the season & although he's been woeful recently we still haven't won a game when he hasn't started. And speaking of being woeful, why does Shawcross get into the team? Terrible again today.

Given Haugaard Wolly Muniesa Wilson Tex Ireland Crouch Joselu Given has a part to play - we won't find someone as good as Jack who is happy to sit on the bench Wolly, Muniesa and Joselu all have roles to play and practically speaking we can't replace half the squad in 1 summer. Haugaard may be an eventual back up, but not next season. As for the rest, thank you for your service but assuming you have a desire to play you may be best advised to look for another club

The squad is not as good as Hughes thinks. Injuries to johnson, shawcross shakiri but land have not helped but how many games have we had the same 13 or 14,let alone 11 players starting. Has shawcross seen his best days gone now. Hamstrings for shakiri and others. We could be in trouble next year

Need a decent backup keeper, new CB, cover for both wings, competent striker, Whelan replacement
It's not just the players, Hughes needs to get his act together, i don't even know what he's trying to do anymore? Started off with fast paced quick attacking football and we''ve ended the season playing Crouch
SORT IT OUT

I said it a few weeks ago how you finish the season gives you confidence for the next,it also lifts the fans,at this moment in time i am dreading next season especially if we lose our best player,,the manager has now had three seasons and this one promised to be his best in the end it's turned out to be his worst with the squad he had available yes we had injuries, but he said it was the strongest squad Stoke had ever had maybe 14 of them,we spent 18million in January on a midfielder when we needed to loan out certain players and bring in a goal scorer and two centre halves .three seasons and I still don't know what is formation or tactics are but more worrying I don't think he or his players do.

So sad

He may never reach the same heights he reached before his injury but he's still our skipper & I would try to get him as fit as possible for next season.

Butland has saved us (excuse the pun) from real problems this season. Absolutely spot on. Without Butland's contribution we would have been right down there in the relegation fight. Hughes has a lot of work to do this close season and some big decisions on players. Wherever we finish, this season has not been a good one, however you attempt to dress it up. Home form has been bloody awful and I can count on one hand the number of times we have played really well at the Brit.

The lack of scoring has caught up with us, now we can't defend either. Our luck has run out.
Cant help but agree, sadly
