It goes something like this. Coming to a league near you. 16/17 we buy ourselves a team set up to do two things. 1). Park the bus. 2). Catch them on the break 3). Win one nil.
That's three but the plan remains.
Crude but effective, we win the league.
I'm off down the bookies first thing.

You mean do the Mourhino. Except in his case there's a 4th point which is, after 2 seasons of parking the bus, it's time to throw your players under it.

They're incredibly effective in attack, but their football is basically kick and rush with piles of speed. It's also nice to have no injuries (and incredibly quick coincidental recoveries) along with 4 or 5 players who seemingly found themselves (or something else *honk*) in the same season.

Never thought it before but the more I've watched us this year the more I wonder if a slightly more continental model could suit us with someone who has an overall footballing vision for the club, even if just in terms of management so first team and academy refer to them. This could help with long term planning in terms of player recruitment and academy planning. Creating a research based system like at southampton trying to find precisely what the squad/club needs. At the moment it all seems a bit disjointed with little cohesion into how we build a footballing side/club that has the complete focus in producing the best players and winning games.
Just a thought

Just a thought If we could encompass all your points which shouldn't inherently be beyond the wit of man results wouldn't be far behind. Well described.
