Burton looking down on the vale and Crewe, pisser.
I hope we help them out and start sending some on loan, we could link up with them to give our lads first team experience, that would really piss the vale and crewe off

Fleetwood are about to be relegated to the bottom tier and Johnny Tex struggled there...... Don't think Fleetwood will be relegated even if they lose today to be honest, they have Crewe at home at the weekend and Blackpool travel to Peterborough.

This bloke spent 2 months on trial with us and we signed him. He plays like a competition winner. I'd love to know why we signed him.

Burton must play already relegated Doncaster (not mathematically but I can't see them overturning a -15 goal GD), meanwhile Walsall must go to the Vale, so it's really Burton's to lose. GD goes down to -3 today if it stays as it is against Fleetwood, so it will be close.

Thought he gave a decent account of himself in the second half at Bournemouth to his credit but clearly he's not producing enough in training to convince Hughes he's ready. Wouldn't be so bad if he was younger but he's 24 in a few months, he should be established by now. Hope we can get some sort of fee for him this summer rather than letting him run down his contract but not holding out much hope!

Well an ideal scenario for us would be us thumping Doncaster and the fail getting a stuffing too....Just for the Stokies in my family Surreal to think who we could be entertaining at the Pirelli next season! Tinpot Burton Albion, love it.....even if we won't sell the away allocation out for the short trip to Doncaster

Do they give that little a shit that they can't stay and watch their colleagues, especially given the effort they've probably made to get to the ground in the first place?

You'd think the management would insist they stayed - and furthermore - asked them after the game what they thought they could bring to the performance if selected for the next game. And if it was clear they hadn't been paying attention then they'd get fined.Being part of a squad is about being able yo make a contribution both on and off the field.

If we apply the old county boundaries, then it becomes a Staffordshire triumvirate. All I can say is, come on you Brewers!!!

You're getting paid £30k per week. Is it unreasonable to ask that you spend a matchday working, even if that definition of work is as loose as 'watch a football match whilst being fed and watered'?? One to note for those that still think that playing for Stoke City is anything more than just a path to a pay cheque...

Who'd have though 10 years ago that Port Vale would be the third bestest team in Staffordshire...

Over the last 10 games, Burton are 9th in the form table.
I can see a very nasty season ahead for them.

Who'd have though 10 years ago that Port Vale would be the third bestest team in Staffordshire... Considering, I still think of Wolves, West Brom and Walsall as being in Staffordshire, 3rd would be an achievement. In reality, they are 6th out of 6.

Hasselbaink set them off on this journey, deserves some credit too. No he didn't Gary Rowett started them off 2 season ago when they just missed out on promotion via league 2 playoffs and was instrumental last season before he was poached by Birmingham Hasselbaink just carried on the good work Rowett had started. Cloughie has come in and done well since his return but I heard a rumour that once the season is over whether they are promoted or not he's off to Forest.

If Burton were able to make it into the Prem, that would be a fairytale story equalling that of Leicester's. A club with a stadium of 6000, somehow breaking the barrier into the Premiership, would be an incredible story.
Still, I don't think it'll happen. They should aim for one or two places above the drop. Build from there.
Good luck Burton Albion.

Burton is a very small club and will be downgraded soon (as with Yeovil Town and Scunthorpe when they played in the second division), they have no structure and enough fans to support a competitive championship as the second division, is capable of them are filled with debts and demoted to the semi-professional leagues here about 5 years. Unlike Walssall if higher division believe can maintain and strengthen its structure and remain in the second division.

Who would of thought then we would be in this sort of position now? nobody. That was our champions league final. Probably have around or just under 3k, not bad for 4k average home games but still hoped would sell out.
