Not too happy about seeing his name on the team sheet today, but Charlie was our MOM! You still seem to have something in your locker lad!

People saying get rid before today etc are simply deluded. Still offers so much more than Whelan and was by far our best cm on the pitch today. Motm was right IMO crouch won everything and brought down the ball great but Charlie ran him close.

He played one backward pass all game and it was in the lead up to our goal.
He played great.
Our record of goals conceded with him alongside Whelan is pretty damn impressive. I think we've only conceded 3 goals whilst Adam has been on the pitch this season.

He played very well today and should keep his place now but his 2 dives in the opening 15 minutes were embarrassing

Our run of good form at the back end of last season coincided with Adam starting every game.
He simply has to be a shoe in for me in home games at least. We just play with a higher tempo when he is on the pitch. 20 minute cameos here and there aren't his thing.
Sadly I don't think he will be around next season

Still offers so much more than Whelan They do totally different jobs. Adam was fantastic today though, he's direct and drives us on.

Charlie gets on the ball, goes forward. Whelan covers people off the ball, sweeps up and reads the game incredibly well. Without Glenn in our side, we would be in the shit.

The whole back4 AND him haven't been good enough. He started the season well and now he's gone back too the same old Whelan. Better needed.

Same old Whelan? He's been in our top 3 players the last 3/4 season?! The problem is, what he does is the dirty work off the ball that people, lack yourself, don't see or don't understand. Whelan is our only midfielder with any discipline although Charlie showed today he has some about him.

"People like yourself" hahaha I've played that very position at a much higher standard than you my friend. He's only in the team because we don't have anyone else in the position. Charlie could do it at home and loosing ibi is a big kick in the balls.

Close one between Charlie and Crouch. Thought Crouchie did a good job today, they were clearly looking for him most of the time. Charlie put a bloody good shift in and really got stuck in. Disappointment was Imbula second half. Held on too long and kept getting mugged for his troubles. First half, different player. Couldn't clear our lines far enough last 10 or so minutes and gave them space to run. Was it a penalty. Couldn't see from my seat, all the folk in front of me got up as one and blocked the view. Q railing, Boothen end. Screws up my Win, Win, Draw prediction. So fucking close.

Always liked Charlie Adam, he does do stupid things at times but there's no doubting his premier league quality. Reckon he gets some unfair stick around here and like others, think he's underused. Appreciate he's been injured.

Anyway, you clearly don't have a good understanding of the game if you don't rate Whelan irrelevant of the level you've played...And the reason we don't have anyone better is every time we've tried to get an upgrade, he's stepped up and improved.

It really is that simple. Excellent passing, whilst moving forward with intent. We have technically excellent players but this fella just gets things done in a way a few of the others don't seem to grasp. He'll probably go in the summer but I hope we replace like for like.

When he plays he gets the team attacking a lot quicker because he looks to play the ball forward instead of sideways , so worth his place just for that blessed relief alone , but he did well today , amazing how he can always get a free kick once he is done for pace though

Who have we signed who he's "improved" ahead of then? Imbula was signed for a total different position and the fact hughesy was sniffing around LC proves he doesn't rate him either. We will have a replacement next season anyway.
