I thought he was very poor today. His decision making at times was a joke long before the 93rd minute. If he didn't have the legs on Kaboul that's fine. But run the ball in the corner you daft twat!! Also for a man his size his upper body strength is non existent. A long hard summer lies ahead with plenty of weightlifting in store for him. I'm not writing the lad off as he as shown glimpses of real class.

Bar a few times when were attacking he barely moved today and did some lazy poor tackles as well as getting a stupid yellow card! He has been our best player in a lot of games but this trait is getting slightly concerning. Jeez we love a scapegoat that can't gamble disappointment He was excellent Check out my post again further up. It's happening. It really is.

I think he is still adjusting, reserve judgement until he has had a full preseason. There is a very skilful player in there, remember the criticism for Arnie when he first joined? Give the bloke a chance it is a major change for him.

In hindsight, going to the corner will obviously have been the better option but, given how good an opportunity it was to get a second and kill the game off, I don't mind he went for it. That being said, he was pretty poor throughout the game, along with plenty of others. We just seem too content with a one goal advantage these days.

Thought we was good today.
Nowhere near as good as we know he can be, but still a good performance.

A full pre season, adjust to The Premiership properly...and we will have a beast of a player!

Not his best game but no too bad. He is the new hate figure from some of the crowd,a man in front of me was slagging him off the whole game. All our players just don't seem to be able to judge when to pass when they get near to the penalty area, taking the wrong choice.

If Mike Dean was ref today then Imbula almost certainly would've been sent off. Booted the ball away twice and only got booked for one of them, shocking attitude and an early sign he's BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD news guys.

He had lots of space today and I thought he was alright, nothing special but good and solid. He'll improve no doubt. Although he seems to panic when on the ball, he tends to run in the same direction all the time, Diagonal . He needs to work on his shooting and obviously once he picks up the language it'll be easier for both him and the other players.

He showed signs of giving a fuck but needed to show it more often. Because when he did he was excellent. The lad is clearly a talent but he needs a rocket up his arse.

He's only 23 remember. Plenty of time to improve the mental side of his game. Fantastic prospect. Could easily keep his berth on the Stoke City team sheet for the next ten years.

He's definitely more suited to playing away. Like Diouf he looks much better when he hasn't got time to think, he can't seem to make his mind up what he wants to do when he's got time on the ball.

Did he leave his right foot in Porto?
Not a huge fan at the moment if I'm honest he seems to defend slightly better than a cone would and at times his decision making is poor.

For a player who cost 18 million pound he was toss,I don't know if some of the comments about his performance today are from people who only watched the game on tv,but live he was lazy with is passing the only time he moved is when he wanted to beat 6 players on his own then lose the ball, but I blame his manager for leaving him on the pitch for 90 min.

Get the right balance around him giving him options to pass forward , get his confidence up and we could have an absolute star......just wish he was a bit quicker.

Great with the ball in his feet, worst player in the pitch without the ball. Charlie Adam and even Peter Crouch had run more than him today. I hope he shows Some attachment, because is 23, tall strong fast too, and i excpet more defensive work from him.

He is actually a midfielder in a 4-3-3. Afellay before he broke his LCA was better than him in both phases of the game. Sometimes i think he can do a lot more of what he did in his defensive phase.

He looks like a player who isn't enjoying be in here to be honest.
His lack of work rate is very disturbing when he hasn't got the ball.
I watched him closely today and he just ambled through the game and regularly just let his opposition midfielders make runs off him without any intention of tracking them.
With the ball he looks awesome at times but a player who plays in his position needs to put more effort in when we don't have the ball.

I agree. Game cried out for him to come off at half time and bring on Bojan. Still scratching my head over Sparky's subs.

I said before the game I'd have benched him and played Bojan. Why, why does Hughes leave players on the bench as soon as they start to show any kind of form. I just don't get it.

Part of the reason he looks like he isn't enjoying it is because he's so frustrated. I've never known a player ask for the ball so much as him, and for some unknown reason, his team mates not trust him with it so much either. When he drops deep and asks for the ball, just bloody give it to him! How many times today did he just drop his shoulder and glide past a couple of players? Unbelievably talented.

I'm not so sure the first sentence of your post is right. He looks dis interested to me, whether that's his style or not we will have to see, and as talented as he looks on the ball, it is all worthless unless he shows the willingness to do the dirty side of the game, which as a central midfielder he has to do.

If we play like we did in the 1st half today in the next 2 games he'll hardly touch the ball because today in that 1st half he was bypassed on numerous occasions.Maybe that might explain his frustration today

Wasting your time mate The kangaroo court is sitting I know but i'm so frustrated watching it aswell. From the players point of view, If the lad is going to make a mistake then let him make it and deal with it after. How else is he going to learn? There's only been once or twice where he's had the ball on the edge of the box and given it away since he's been here, but that was against different sides playing a different way. Today we were playing against a 3 man midfield where all three were pretty much sitting. A perfect time to roll the ball out to him and let him play. He had Cattermole and Kirchoff on toast.
