Tottenham? Can't remember the last time they won it. They're still one of the big boys though aren't they? I'm happy for Spurs to win it but Leicester is on a whole different level to that. They are a decent team, but it's still different than say Man Utd, Chelsea, Man City winning.

I will be pleased if Leicester win it. I would also have been pleased if Spurs had won it. My only problem with Leicester is the plastic fans and the artificially created atmosphere. I may be old fashioned by I dont like atmospheres that have to be created. Reading is another with the drummer.

In 1989 a few months after Arse won the league at Anfield I went to the charity shield. On the train back oop North got talking to a scouser. He said he was excited about the new season because they had to win it back. He also said it hurted him to say it but winning it every year can sometimes be quite boring and sometimes they knew in November they would win it and it's just ordinary sometimes.
I remembered this just over a decade later. The shit won it 3 times in a row and the 2001 time was just ordinary. 1993 had been greeted with raptorous celebration but a few years later it had been a cakewalk and it didn't seem to thrill them anymore. Similarly, when Chelsea won it last year it was run of the mill.. ..you could imagine their fans walking out of the ground and popping into Asda to get some milk on the way home. A loveless homage to the zeitgeist. We all fondly remembered Clough at Forest and ruefully perused the scenario it would never happen again. The corporation clubs had it all stitched up to ensure nobody could ever get a slice of 'their' cake. It couldn't ever occur again could it?
So we get to 2016 and one of the most bonkers crazy magnificent confusing magical moments in sporting history is upon us. Clough's brilliance about to be repeated. The ultimate way to stick it to the mega giant footballing Macdonalds and coca colas.
But despite the rags to riches dave v Goliath air of it some people don't like it. Some people are just too happy being bitter to be happy.

Palacios and Diouf is a bizarre comparison imho!!!! Palacios didn't seem to recover from the loss of his brother and diouf has looked like an emotional wreck at times this season after the loss of his mother. All i am saying is that their feelings seem deep, and the fact diouf has not played much suggests he may have lost a bit of heart, which is understandable. Some people become more driven after a loss and some people shut down and struggle. The 2 players have both seemingly struggled, so i don't see ehy it is such a bizarre comparison. Sure, I can see what you mean. Its hard to know how these things can impact on performance.

I want them to win but I'm gutted its not us.
And it won't happen again any time soon IMO. It's a one in a hundred occurrence.
Which means, to all intents and purposes, Leicester stole our potential title.
Also the tens of other clubs of similar stature.
So well done Leicester but at the same time fcuk off.
PS Can you imagine the noise in the Brit if that was us??

I'm sick of the wankfest but this is what real football fans have always wanted, an underdog to win the title!

Exactly, so it enjoy cause it won't last forever although I get more fustrated by all of the American, Asian and Middle East folk jumping on the bandwagon and pretending they've supported Leicester forever, fucking cunts like that make me sick.

I'd much prefer Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool or Man City to win the title.
Clubs that spend hundreds of millions on players..season after season after season.
Clubs with massive global financial power.
Why on earth would I want a club the same size as Stoke City to achieve anything?
What a terrible example.

Definitely not if you support Stoke. I admire the people who are taking pleasure in Leicester's success but I'm simply giving my own take on it. I'd actually rather be enjoying their success wholeheartedly rather than through gritted teeth. PS what does really, absolutely and utterly piss me off on this thread is the faux psychology and the "some people just prefer being miserable". Get over yourselves lads.

To be fair, when someone's thought process is "It's a one in a hundred chance...therefore they've stolen our title" i'd say that "faux psychology" looks to be fairly accurate to be honest.

If it was us instead of Leicester,I wonder what the press and pundits would be saying? Well it could be, couldn't it? Why not? Except that we don't have the manager to "take us to the next level". Simple.

Almost 8 years to the day we were going mental on the pitch in the pouring rain celebrating promotion as their fans trudged off having been relegated to league one.And they are about to win the fucking premiership! With a manager who who's appointment was met with apathy at best.Even Lineker criticised it at the time.
Extraordinary stuff..and surely why we love this sport so much ?
