Took the eldest lad over to Anglesey for an interview today, some place called pentre bewr had a small reserve on it called Malltreath marsh, which i had a walkaround when he was in, plenty of widlife there to see. www.rspb.org.uk/reserves-and-events/find-a-reserve/reserves-a-z/reserves-by-name/m/malltraethmarsh/We headed off after to Beaumaris for some lunch and a walk along the coastal path, the tide was quite low, plenty of oystercathers, cormorants, shags, then we were treated to a flock of Sanderlings coming in to land, but doing a swooping murmuration before they did, their white bellies flashing in the sunshine. They phoned him up tonight, he's got the job and will be living in the skerries Island lighhouse over the summer, apparently it does have wifi www.google.co.uk/search?q=skerries+lighthouse&client=firefox-b&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjosIu118zSAhUBBsAKHT0VCZ0Q_AUICSgC&biw=1333&bih=646#imgrc=GfFa_y8Sk8L-3M:

Mr MTS happens to be colour blind re. red and green. Every time he's driving and we approach a set of traffic lights on red I adopt an emergency landing position and start screaming the place down. Every little 'elps………..

Out walking this morning on Otley Chevin, heard my first skylark of the year. A pair of curlews circling round and round, calling to one another. Gorse coming out into flower too. Outdoor yoga and then a piece of cake at the Cheerful Chilli tearooms. Lovely.

Out on yesterdays early long run, 2 crows mobbing a buzzard, then a bit later 2 magpies mobbing a crow, 2 blackbirds fighting so intensely on the lane they didn't see me until the last second, also saw a male yellowhammer singing away at the top of a hawthorn bush

It's been peace and harmony amongst the buggers all winter until now.

On the field with the dog this morning and I was greeted by two horses who'd got out of the local paddock. They obviously didn't like their home option of wall to wall mud and the dried stuff when there was a nice green field next door. Managed to persuade them back to the hole in the hedge and a quick hand clap did the rest. I wish the bugger who has the field would sort some decent fencing out

Three big shire horse types. The footpath led across their smallish paddock and they ambushed me - I swear they lay in waiting in the trees. They might have been friendly but I wonner hanging about to find out. I legged it smartish and went over the stile head first with my pack on top of me.
