Can't wait for the smell of wild garlic down by the stream, won't be long now guaranteed to put me in a good mood. Anything out there that makes you feel happy lads and lasses?....anything?

Managed to establish quite a patch of Ramsons in the garden from a few bulbs taken from the Tissington trail twenty years ago, it'll be flowering in the next week or so. We've been cooking with the leaves for a month. Beautiful in an omelette, great with chicken etc etc. The general green shoots of recovery, Spring springing puts a spring in the step. Leaves sprouting on the trees, ducklings on the cut. A pair of robins are busy feeding their young and'll be fledging soon, and the Bluebells in the local wood are about to bost. Smile inducing times.

I like football and football and the summer doesn't have football
Feel I'm losing the point but life without football is shit
Except for the week we are in the euros only to be embarrassed by Wales

Not so sweet...
Just been shown {Attenborough quality} Phone footage of a black mink swimming down the Churnet in Denford, climbing a tree and taking a swipe at a magpie. A rapacious all terrain mammal: other mammals, frogs, fish, eggs, birds all fair game to those dudes. Nice to see a bit of nature, it was great footage, but rather not see those things, need controlling. Stoats, weasels, Martens and the odd wildcat and polecat will do.

Having afternoon tea at the Tower Ballroom at Blackpool whilst people dance the afternoon away to the sounds of the Wurlitzer organ is very serene.
