Not on current form.
Be interesting to hear from him either backing or otherwise the present incumbent in the Managers chair.
I presume a lack of passion, backbone, effort, commitment, balls, just a will to win may be under consideration.
With a couple of minutes to go today we had the ball on the halfway line, 3 sideways passes then 1 back to the keeper, they just wanted to get on the bus back to their mansions, not forgetting to pick up their £40 grand on the way.

What's the point of hiring a manager if you're not going to trust him in signing his own players? Sparky's record speaks for itself. I posted a comment yesterday looking at all his signings at Stoke & I arrive at the conclusion that he has received value for money pretty much every time he has entered the market ( Here it is). Even at his poorest, he still delivers top 10 finishes. If you're not going to trust Hughes with spending money, then we might as well let him leave. There are any number of clubs around the world who'd be happy to have him as their manager. We've been poor for the past few weeks, there's no hiding that but hasn't Hughes done enough for the club to earn the trust of Sir Peter & the supporters?

Hmmm.
I don't think there is any choice in the matter; the chequebook has to come out or else we may find we are in the championship

What's the alternative?
The squad needs money spending on it. He's got credit in the bank still to be entrusted with it.
Get it wrong this time though and it's hard to think there'll be a next time.

Concerning that so many of his signings are not working. Only the big 3 aren't working. Some of the cheaper ones are fine. However, SJW remains our best forward and Glenn remains our best midfielder. Neither are getting younger.

Hard to criticise any Prem Manager about the quality of signings these days. Every club, including us, appears to have a committee of about 20 people that decide on who is being bought. That being the case I doubt there will be any issues.

Hughes will have as much time as he needs, aslong as we aren't regularly in relegation battles.

They can't sack the guy this summer, they need to give him time to see where its going wrong and fix it in the summer. it's obvious to most what the problem is, I want to see him recognise it and fix it. In the unlikely event of him departing in the summer I'd take Rodgers or Moyes in a flash

I would certainly hope so. This summer is likely to be massive for us. We need to change a lot of the old guard and bring in younger talent. Hughes has done brilliantly so far and needs to be trusted with money. It is a very long time since Stoke finished three consecutive seasons in the top ten in the top flight.
