.....was very honest in his analysis if our current dip in form on radio Stoke earlier.
He basically said that certain defenders weren't doing there job and one player in particular (not necessarily a defender) was just doing his own thing, oblivious as to what was going on around him...
He said that several players were not at the top of their game and needed to lift their game...

I assume he's talking about Imbula right? Probably doing his own thing because he doesn't understand what anyone else is saying. But dear lord I'm so glad that Pieters will be available next week. Muniesa is just woeful at defending.

I thought he was laying into Imbula, as well.
I also thought Denis was having a go at the same player.
This poor run needs nipping in the bud, now.

Pejics pride and passion shone through and highlighted what this current side is sadly lacking.... GUTS AND DETERMINATION.
They seem to already be on some tropical beach safe in the knowledge that they are still earning £ 50,000 a week.
A massive assessment and possible rebuild of our defence us needed along with two strikers.
Although Pejic didn't criticise Mark Hughes directly I did detect a certain amount of frustration as to how we are managing to lose 4-0 every week. Basically, he was saying that we deserve much better...
I was very impressed by his comments overall.
Top man!

They both talk considerable sense.

On the rarer occasions Ilisten to Radio Stoke thesedays I usually reckon Mike Pejics punditry is just horseshit

I always respect Pejic's opinion, one of the more knowledgeable pundits.

Mike Pejic tells it how it is. Agree with most of what he says.

Mike Pejic certainly can't be accused of saying what people want to hear. He was a good player and certainly better than any defender we currently have - I would have thought he was worth listening to.

Having watched the game he was right about Imbula. I thought he was doing his own thing as well. This team needs a kick up the arse. No doubt about it whatsoever. I got onto Pulis for destroying two seasons. Hughsie needs to get this sorted out right away, or he will get the same. We pay good money to watch football, and at least you expect the team to put some effort in. Not good enough!

There is no doubt Imbula has fantastic ability......especially with the ball at his feet. Hes going to have to learn though that he will have to work as hard off the ball as he does on it. The pace and the intensity of the Premier League takes some adjustment. I think he will come good but he certainly needs work.

Lets get one thing straight If we bought Imbula as a defensive midfielder we need to think again Having said that he started quite well but is now a newcomer in a team that is playing very poorly for whatever reason Even Shawcross does not seem bothered There is either someone wrong in the dressing room or we are playing too many players who are a lot less than 100 percent fit

Pej should still be at Stoke as part of the coaching set up

Pej should still be at Stoke as part of the coaching set up i agree . He has a wealth of experience and oodles of character and bites yer ankles . The fact that he's a Stokie should not be overlooked either . Local pride . I find his comments more astute and honest than Smithys . Smithy tends to sit on the fence too much , whereas Pejic says it as it is .

He calls it very well. If what he says touches a few nerves bloody good. Wish he was a bit closer to the management so they could take notes.

I couldn't argue with what pej had to say. Pretty much spot on. The dig was clearly at Imbula. For such a big bloke he puts his foot in like a complete utter pansy. Massive summer of strength work needed for him.

I said to my old man the other day that once the attack dogs have finished having a go at Wollscheid then they'll move onto Imbula.
It's happening isn't it?
