What is it about Man City away and knee ligament injuries?
Etherington years ago, Odemwingie last year and now Afellay in the run up to this year!
FFS!

Another player who will get an extra year because of his injury then barely touch a ball for us like Odemwingie There's a difference pal. Ibby has been our best player this season. They haven't even scanned it yet so to rule him out completely is just stupid. Mind you, the post from you was stupid anyway. I don't think it was stupid. He's been a good player this season but it's been debated a lot whether he's been that useful in certain games especially home ones. The fact of the matter is if he's out till Christmas as someone has posted, probably won't be fully fit until the end of next season due to no pre-season so we'll either let him go after he's gained fitness or give him an extra year when personally I would be hoping we'd have fresh blood in his position

Afellay is far more useful than PO Of course, didn't mean to sound disrespectful just honest. Will he be as useful after his injury? He's already suffered so many. I just don't want us to waste another space and wages on someone if we don't plan on using him. I really hope so, he's probably been our most consistent player this season along with Jack. Such a shit season in terms of injuries

You'd think there'd definitely be an increased focus on central midfield over the summer now.
We've almost got to plan without Afellay.

It must be time now that the club seriously look at our training methods & facilities.
This is two seasons in a row ravaged by injury after a long spell of us having one of the best records.
I'm sure I've read articles about Leicester's facilities and the methods they use having a massive bearing on why they've suffered so few injury setbacks this season.
One year could be argued that we've been unlucky, but two in a row is concerning.
All the best Ibrahim & I just hope you can come back stronger.

This is really tough on him, his fitness has been excellent since he landed here after a terrible run of injuries over the last few years. This has 100% be the worst season for injuries i can recall in my lifetime?

Cruel blow for him.
Hopefully,I don't think this will be as disastrous for him and his game as it was for PO.

If it was all groins strains and muscle injuries then yes. As it is we have had breaks, cruciate and back injuries.

massive loss, a kick in the guts for him and club. It says a lot when on reading this my heart sank nearly as far as when bojan did his.
easily the best player in our side since Christmas
there's been a few on here who have been quick to criticise him, all I can say is they don't know a football from a pumpkin
speedy recovery aff

Here we go, the blame culture about our training methods has started.
Afellay suffered his injury landing awkwardly after heading a ball.
What are we supposed to do, stop the players jumping in training?

Just rams home to those fools who say we should rest players in certain games to avoid injury It can happen at anytime Don't be silly. It will be a massive fucking stick to beat the mangement teams training methods.

Bitter blow this. He's had a good season especially given his previous injury record and he's adapted well. Hopefully its not as bad as expected and he recovers soon.

I also think he's better suited to certain games but to write him off and then even say we will give him a contract because we "feel sorry for him" is a absolute joke. The bloke deserves a new contract. My player of the season.

Horrible news, I can't see him being the same again now, not at his age, for me, other than Jack, he has been the best player this season. But, in terms of the rest of this season, we can stop playing so many attacking midfielders and sort the back out
