Shawcross ain't fit. A fully fit Shawcross is definitely good enough for England. An appalling injury list has given us little option but to play him. Cameron at CB, Bardsley at RB. Shawcross shouldn't be playing at, he's been shit since his injury.

Worth noting that grapple gate was back last night. He grappled with someone in the box and it was replayed in slow motion no less than 5 times over a 10 minute spell. Reminding us that he invented it and is the only one in the league to do it, or something.
Absolutely magical.

Don't think he's ever been sent off for it... conceded a penalty yes, but he's not had a red card...?

Skrtle is the worst purveyor of it in Premier League history. Barely a word said about him.

One man cannot cover for AWOL full backs and a central midfielder who does not track back, and of course the missing workload of SJW keeping the right flank quiet.

By TV , a pundit who I forget says although Felani Deserved to get a retrospective ban for his 3 assaults on Ryan , he had it coming because of his roughhouse tactics . Refs gave Ryan a hard time for a few weeks , 2. Pens in successive games if I remember . Liverpool was one at the Brit

Shawcross was poor but what about the clown next to him? Christ's cunt he's shit. He thinks Germany should recall him too!

I'm just curious why he gets his own Premier League Years package when he does it, and few are arsed when others do it.

What a poor show - defenders pulled all over the place. Roy will have thought "that's the last we'll hear about Shawcross for England" and you can't blame him.
Two Starts for Shawcross & two abysmal defensive displays. Even allowing for lack of match fitness with his "experience" he did not read the game and he & that German next to him were pulled all over the place.
Lets face it the real score should have been about 7-0 or even 8-0 on missed Spurs chances.
Hughes needs to sort his defense out all season - we have the as bad a goal difference than those fighting relegation. fact.

It really was a masterclass on how to break with devastating pace. I just wish someone would tell Imbula to push forward with pace instead of tip tapping about. On a lighter note I've just seen Louise Minchins knickers on BBC news Last night has now completely disappeared from the memory-bank. Now..... more importantly, picture of Louise, or it didn't happen.

Shawcross is awesome but it's a genuine concern that his injury may mean his best days are behind him. When Bojan got crocked I was flamed on here for saying we should consider selling him once recovered as he'd never be as good again....that doesn't seem so far fetched now either, he's not exactly set the world on fire this season. Much as I think he's brilliant, I doubt we'll ever see him at his best again. He is obviously a fantastic player but it seems we cannot get the best out of him...

I really wouldn't be rushing to sell a player (apparently not at his best) who's scored seven times for a team which finds goals so hard to come by.

Shawcross didn't do himself any favours last night, he was terrible as was everyone. I'm not buying this 'spurs were brilliant' we rolled over and made them look like real madrid

Q) What do the top 2 teams have in common?
A) They play a pressing game and hassle to get the ball back.
Being saying it for ages we don't do the pressing we wait for a miss placed pass which is a lot easier to play against. Add that to short arses up front that don't offer an out ball or target to mix our play up. All these little percentages add up. Then, when we do get the ball out build up play is so F**kling slow their team has chance to reposition themselves and have a quick brew

Also players respond to a good atmosphere and a good atmosphere in s-o- t is created by a fast paced, snapping at heels type of football, a match with stoke players showing desire & urgency will feed the crowd and the players will feed from the crowd, it's really obvious that a flat atmosphere in any audience is a result of a flat performance
