Who do you know really well that is famous, as in would stop in the street and have a chat with. For me Ray Reardon, went to school with his kids, and often went away with them as kids. Stoke related...Cranny, Ronnie Sinclair and Dave Kevan. Since moving here got to know Brian Jacks, he of Superstars fame, quite well, played golf with him a few times, and a hell of a nice bloke.

Mama stoppped me in my car once (he was in his leaving training) to ask how my daughter was feeling after having been off school ill. Less a case of me knowing him, more a case of me stalking the players every day at training

Steve Parry (Olympic swimmer and BBC commentator), Rebecca Adlington and Guy Garvey (lead singer of Elbow) all regularly go to the church that we go to. Has several conversations with all of them and they seem very nice.
Also seen Mark E Smith a couple of times putting his bins out (not taking the piss honestly!)? I love The Fall but didn't know what to say so just carried on my merry way.
I used to exchange pleasantries with Steven Fletcher (Marseille striker) in our local shop quite often, got talking to him once after we played Burnley (I had my Stoke jacket on) and he carried on living this way when he moved to Sunderland.
Lastly my kids are mates with Gemma Atkinson's nephews (the blonde lass from Emmerdale and Hollyoaks) and spoken to her at a couple of kids parties when she's been there.
It's like Hollywood around my way if Hollywood was full of minor celebrities......... :-)

In my heavy metal days I went see Saxon at the Vicky Hall and Dustin Hoffman was standing next to me. He thought it was wank and went The Albion for a pint.
