Kirchoff or someone of that ilk at DM is what we need.

Norwich pay the price for failing to score when they were on top. They are also looking dishevelled and out of it.

Kirchoff or someone of that ilk at DM is what we need. After a nightmare debut at Tottenham he has came into his own. Seems to be winning everything in midfield

Sunderland playing well don't we will need to be on top form if we hope to get anything out of the game when we play them at the end of the month.

Kaboul headlong into the crowd. Obviously still not forgiven them for throwing that inflatable canary at him.

Who would we pinch off Norwich (if anyone)? Redmond. He'll probably go to someone like Boro if Norwich get relegated though

Would love Watmore too. Cracking player. Definitely a raw player, but someone who at the right price could be a good Walters long term replacement, bug doubt he'd be sold at the right price! Kirchoff isn't a defender at all, but playing DM he looks good when he's got two wing backs with him and the midfield is packed, not sure he'd be particularly good for us because we play far far wider and I don't think he could cover the ground in the same way. Redmond doesn't lack confidence, hasn't progressed as much as he could have and takes too many chances without looking for his team so I'd probably stay clear from him too. Both of Sunderland's full back's could be long term replacements for ours but aren't good enough to replace them yet. Not really anyone out of the teams who could get into our team which is hardly surprising considering their positions.

Norwich were unlucky with the first 2 goals IMO (I'm not saying the ref was wrong, just that Sunderland were lucky to get the decisions) but Sunderland were much the better side overall on the day and deserved the win.
Defoe was the 1 class player on the field, can see why MH wanted Cattermole a real street fighter, Redmond impressed briefly then faded away.

Lol
Could have won by about 5 goals, first half was even but second half they weren't really in it bar a 10 minute spell
Borini answering whether penalty was harsh; "No, he nearly broke my leg!"

Think he's a better footballer than Walters though.

We're still behind Norwich We got the rub of the green with decisions for the first time in a long time this season - still a long way to go and crucial games coming up; it's in our hand now though - we play our game in hand next Now I hope Swansea batter Newcastle (who have dropped Shelvey & Mitrovic).

Agree it was a penno but second goal was a foul though in real time I thought Kirchhoff won the ball legitimately. You were lucky not to give away a soft penno. too. Overall, Sunderland played very, very well. You look a far stronger team than Norwich and indeed Newcastle.
