Those saying he is a leader! What evidence if this is there! He frequently loses his head at himself! Since has been here has had several on field fall outs with Butland, Whelan and Diouf! Doesn't sound like a captain to me! Captain Chaos more likely. Without Ryan and Glen we have no leaders he has however shown his inability to carry out the role of leader when either have been missing, we need a proper CB who can defend all this ball playing bull is not working.

I never thought I'd ever say it after Blackburn away, but unless the offer was way in our favour I'd keep him.

If they offer over 5 million I'd let him go. Always has a mistake in him (not as many as Wilson) and when he bollocks others for his mistakes it drives me nuts. Just hold your hands up!!

Sums up how I post nicely. 5/6m and we should snap their hand off. How are you explaining away a 3.25M profit on a player you have lambasted since day one, and moaned about as being useless? Premier League premium.

it's a position in the team we really need stability in.
i think this season he has grown into the role more (yes, still a few niggly mistakes that can be cut out - but that applies to the whole team), however he knows his teams mates and can play to their style. Parachuting someone new in again next season would be a nightmare, especially as i personally think the Shawcross back thing is far from over
keep hold of him, get another central defender in, and let them compete for places.

The fact our back line is terrible when shawcross is not in shows everything about Wolly and "captain material"

The fact our back line is terrible when shawcross is not in shows everything about Wolly and "captain material" Liverpool away last week kind of proved that with Shawcross or without, we've got a poor defensive performance in us when the mood takes us. In answer to the 'he makes more mistakes than Wilson' - are you suggesting that Wilson's a better player? Wollscheid might not be perfect, but he's twice the player Wilson is.

His downfall is his inconsistency. If we can get top dollar for him then I think we could let him go.

I'm not his biggest fan therefore I'd be snapping there hands off. Admittedly he's improved but we need better

Despite what giro Jim says, wolly has been our best and most consistent defender this season, why would we get rid?
I don't believe they will.

I did say "not as many as Wilson" so no. Let's face it, bardsley was terrible, Pieters has been terrible since signing his contract, and Wolly was Wolly, looks brilliant 1 moment then doesn't do the basics the next. IMO we need 3 new defenders next season (4 if we get rid of Wilson or shawcross is still having problems) but will it happen? I doubt it.

He may want to go back home? If so, we need to make a tidy profit to reinvest in a new first choice partner for Ryan. If he wants to stay, we should keep him. I am sure financially we can easily offer more than them, and we need to increase our centre back options, not reduce them. Right now he is our 2nd best centre back, so it would not make sense to let him go unless he wants to leave.

I would keep him as back up to Shawcross and A N other and the reason for this is I believe we need pace at the back and Wolly just doesn't have this. Also like I commented on at the weekend I don't think they compliment each other as a pair(my opinion).Having said all that he's performed far better than I expected this season and held the defence together on numerous occasions.

I really hope Wolly goes so I can look forward to the simpletons moving onto their next target. Odds-on Imbula is next in line.
Is Stephen Tweed available?
