Too early to tell really, but from what I've seen.. he has definitely done enough to justify a run in the starting 11. He's not Diouf quick.. but I think he actually has a decent turn of pace. He's good in the air, holds the ball up well, and seems pretty composed when finishing. If he's given game time, I'm quietly confident that he is the answer to our striking problems.

I'm not sure Mark Hughes rates any of his strikers. Which is a worry considering he bought two of them and chased one of them like a dog for 18 months! I agree. It's one of the very few things that pisses me off with our manager. For someone who was such a quality striker it seems he still doesn't know what he wants from his front man.

Diouf should be starting every week. And not on the wing.

It's weird especially with him as he did chase him for 18 months. He then scored 11 league goals last season and then he barely the next despite having a 1 in 3 record and play well when played up front.

We certainly should not be starting Crouch in front of Joselu or Diouf at the moment, or in fact ever!

A very over-rated player who we paid way the odds for was the Spanish view I was given. I haven't seen anything to really argue against that view, lazy at letting defenders come out with ball also. Don't rate him at all and in my view needs shipping out as soon as,i like Diouf but hes been poor also. Crikey. Has he played enough to be that bad? No, he hasn't, and frankly that post is up there with some of the biggest loads of bollocks I've read on here recently.

Why does a player have to do something wrong to be left out? Many a time a manager picks specific players for specific teams.

I would like to see one of Diouf, Joselu or Crouch get a regular start in the same position. I don't mind which of them it would be.

I didn't see a need for Crouch in the cup game at Anfield never mind last weekend. The way Hughes chops and changes his front man is one of the reasons why we don't score enough goals.

His fondness for Diouff out wide has always baffled me and the fact that he does that so often can only mean he just doesn't rate his all round game. Which is a shame because Diouff played up front is our 15 goal a season man that we all crave, even if he has got a touch like a 10 foot docker. The most baffling one for me though was him bringing Crouch back in from the cold for two games earlier in the season and then again at the weekend. Nobody will ever convince me that Crouch did anything in those games that Joselu couldn't have done. In fact Joselu was starting to look decent when he was unceremoniously dumped for Crouch.

Call me old fashioned but i always like a two striker. Combo, the big man and the little nippy man. I would love it if he played diouf/ joselu right up front beside bojan. Scoring goals wins games, not the number of square passes you can make in midfield in a game.
