Felonious brought me here, I hadn't heard it before, until about 7 minutes ago! The Day of the Dead tribute album is well worth a listen some excellent artists on there. There's a cracking version of If I had the world to give by one of Cheesy's faves Bonnie Prince Billy. Decent line up Barnett, The National, War on Drugs, Angel Olsen, Stephen Malkmus, etc. I downloaded it, immediately after listening to your link - thanks for the heads up. Yes great line up, I saw Stephen Malkmus last year, at the Albert Hall (Manchester).

Some years back there was a radio discussion on Slipknot as to whether the band were inciting acts of violence. I remember some guy phoned in to put the counterpoint to the outrage. He said something like " I'm a computer engineer, I've got a well paid job, a house, I'm happily married with 2.4 children and when I get home after a hard day in the office there's nothing better than listening to Slipknot. Now, if you made me listen to any more than 3 minutes of Celine Dion, I'd take the axe out of the garage and be down the High Street in seconds"

Really liking it, just having a listen now through the two albums. They're from Barnsley, their debut album came out in 2010 and its a belter if you're into indie/shoegazing stuff, I don't think its up on spotify though. The guitar player is a real talent, check this one out, theres a moment at about 2:20 that is breathtaking.

Greta Van Fleet. Yep, they get a lot of crap for sounding like Zep, but I don't care--they're good. Glad to see rock ain't dead yet with the younger gen.
