Did anybody watch last night? I was wondering what the pundits said about the handballs in the Leicester game?

Huth's was blatant! Sorry all you Robert lovers! He opened his palm very obviously!

I agreed with the pundits: Simpson's was a definite pen, Huth's was never a pen in a million years.

Huth didn't move his arm towards the ball , never a pen . Don't think the ref had the balls to give it anyway at that late stage

Huth spread his arms to make himself a bigger target and make it harder for the cross to get past him. In my view if a defender does that it's a pen if his hand or arm blocks the ball.
Simpson's was less obvious as his arm was in front of his body, if the arm wasn't there he'd still have blocked it

They rode their look and Saints were the better side, but they're still scraping the wins. Let's face it, we wouldn't give a damn about the handballs if we were Leicester fans. Good luck to them, it'll be one of the greatest achievements in English club football.

I only saw the Simpson one (I put the cricket on at half time). It was a peno and should have been a red too.

If you take the trouble to watch it again, Huth definitely new what he was doing. Take the blinkers off!

Neither looked like a pen to me.
If Simpson's arm hadn't been there, the ball would have just hit his body anyway. He'd have had to pull off some fairly unnatural move for his arm not to have been where it was.
Huth was standing about 4 foot away when he had the ball twatted at his hand. Not sure how he could have moved it out of the way in time. Slow motion replays have a lot to answer for.

Simpson controlled the ball with his elbow otherwise the ball hitting his body could have gone back to the Soton. player. Huth clearly intended the ball with his hand. Both stonewall penno's and Simpson a red! Can anyone show me the F.I.F.A. rules that say deliberate handling of a ball isn't an offence if the ball is travelling towards said player's torso?

Jesus christ, there is no way in hell that Huth could deliberately handle that ball unless he has insane reflexes. The lad smashed the ball from point blank range! The other one wasn't a handball either as his arms were as tight as they could be to his body. If they were given against Stoke you would be up in arms about it.

Robert Huth opened his palm deliberately! Take the f'ing blinkers off! I'm not convinced he didn't do a superb job of letting the ball hit his hand either and this is why intent doesn't work. You can't tell what a player is thinking, premeditated or otherwise. If it was handball in the box means a penalty it would stop all that stuff and ...it would even itself out in the end.

If Simpson's elbow was so tight to his body, how do you explain the different movement of the elbow? It was clearly an intentional movement of the elbow to ensure the ball didn't either go in the net or bounce back to the Soton. player. Clearly, by Huth's facial expression, he meant to stop the cross illegally. The argument about if it happened to Stoke I would complain? Actually, no. I've taken an objective view based on the t.v. footage at the time!

No it won't . It will be one of the biggest fixes in Sporting History IMO. No it won't. That is YOUR opinion and you are entitled to it.
It is a shame that we (I) have to doubt the validity of this season from Leicester but there are just far too many things to look at.
Suspected doping, players magically increasing fitness, ridiculous amount of free kicks and penalties and the list goes on and on.
Now all these things may be a coincidence, however I do not think so and a lot of people share my view.
You and a lot of other people think all is above board, most of you however would be happy to see anyone win it just so long as it breaks the so called Big teams monopoly of it. While I would love a situation where all teams were genuinely equal in terms of money they have to spend and would agree that the so called big clubs money advantage is as good as cheating my fear is that US and Chinese money will make a mockery of our sport turning it into a dancing contest like the wrestling. BTW my nephew was a wrestler.
So unless you have evidence that proves you claims then I'll keep MY opinion thank you.

Just out of interest, what would the powers that be have to gain from Leicester being successful?
They're hardly a 'blue chip' club.

Erm, you don't have any evidence that supports your claims? Why would there be a pro-Leicester conspiracy? Why Leicester, of all the clubs? They're not especially fashionable, they're not the 'brand' that the big clubs are overseas, and already the idea of them being in the Champions League is making the money men nervous. I'm sure doping goes on in football but these claims are being made in connection with a known charlatan and certainly aren't to be paraded as fact at this stage. They get a lot of penalties and free kicks because they have bags of pace in their side. If you went through those penalties, which of them would you say weren't genuine? The Vardy one against Arsenal springs to mind but the ref in that game was hardly conspiring in Leicester's favour was he, or if he was he did a lousy job. It's a paranoid conspiracy theory born of petty jealously that a smaller club is on the verge of breaking the glass ceiling and it's not us.

Both were stone wall penalties.
Simpson blocked the ball with his arm - it's irrelevant that he would of stopped it with his body if it didn't hit his arm. The facts are it did - he stopped it with his arm.
Huth moved his arm to the ball and it hit his hand and the lino should of given it.

"They get a lot of penalties and free kicks because they have bags of pace in their side" do you really believe this ? lol lol lol.
Where exactly did the "Lots of pace" come from. They didn't have it last year. Running into defenders and falling over is not a penalty IMO.
As for jealously, I would have been happy to see Southampton, West Ham, Spurs maybe Everton win the league a team who have built year on year and broken the Big Club cartel. But this ..it is beyond reason.
BTW do you think the one against us at home was a pen? I don't. just for 1 example.

It's coming from Vardy, Mahrez and Albrighton. Yes I do think it was a penalty at the Brit. It was clumsy from Arnie. What about the other 8? They counter attack at pace and it wins them penalties. That makes a lot more sense that a half-baked conspiracy theory. Again, why Leicester? Why would the powers that be make it their mission to win the league for them?

This is not an opinion, its just sounds like sour grapes and someone who is desperate. If it is was a fix why weren't Leicester awarded what was a stonewall penalty for the push on Vardy when Simpson missed a sitter. If you want to take isolated incidents and report just them then its very easy to form a conspiracy theory.

I saw Vardy with bags of pace at Stocksbridge 6 years ago. Go down there and the regulars will tell you the same. He got loads of pens there too!
