A gesture from the sponsors because it was his birthday? I think Bojan, Whelan and Wolly had better claims personally.

Wolly would have been a good shout but that pass that led to the second goal and then moaning instead of getting back negates it.
Bojan was MOM for me, it would have been Wolly but that second goal is just terrible from him.

Wollscheid was the best player on the pitch. He was until another fuck up. When was that Bayern?Pieters got done far to easy for their 1st goal by the touchline and it reminded me of when Wilson did exactly the same against West Ham last season which also saw them fight back to 2-2

A player makes a mistake, then instead of getting back into position & winning it back, we argue & blame each other. It cost us today with the 2nd goal & it shouldn't have happened. Wollscheid should have played a simple ball out to Arnuatovic on the left, but once the mistake was made, at least bust a gut to get back into position.

Wollscheid was the best player on the pitch. He was until another fuck up. What about his interception and super quick pass through midfield in the run up to Bojan's goal? Why always the negative?

Now, I would agree except it was not his fault that none of our attacking players even remotely tried to get forward. He waited and waited and nobody was moving. As such, he tries to play a bit of a Hollywood pass.

We had a counter and he passed it to them, 2 passes later the ball is in the net. Compounded by him instead of immediately getting back he bollocked the ref or someone. It was piss poor. He was excellent otherwise, real class but that was just shit.

He did play excellently otherwise, like I said real class but it was just typical from him.

That's what can happen when you ask your back lads to play out from the back. Sometimes shit happens and it happens to the best of the best. It's the risk/reward you take at the expense of creating chances.

He shouldn't have lost the ball. It was a mistake. And that lead to the goal. If John Stones does that this board pillories him. Rightly so.

The players were far more to blame though. Horrendous, fucking horrible, horrendous, game management. Shockingly bad shit from players on that sort of coin.

Harsh on him because the real issue was the manager today but he's made another error that's lead to another goal. And he was playing really bloody well too.
