Not on here but i bet they are in the pubs and how long will it be before the back pages are full of 'can we really win this?' it just makes it even more irritating when roy goes back to his old guard and england don't even get out of their group. I'm not sure other countries set such store over friendlies. Or maybe they do? What frustrates me is that had we been outplayed or tonked last night there would be much wailing and gnashing of teeth, yet when we play well and win it's 'only a friendly'. True but I can guarantee I wouldn't. I hate international friendlies under any circumstances for any side and I would have found it just as meaningless. I like to be realistic, England can hope for a couple of good games and a narrow loss / win in the second round but won't get to the final. If England had been tonked it would have made no odds really we all know Roy will give the dogs home first dibs and we will be treated to Wayne 'overrated to high heaven and now over the hill' Rooney and the Arsenal mafia finding everyone else to blame for how shit they are.

Hope so :-) If players who learned their craft playing for the likes of Leyton Orient Millwall Fleetwood town and mk dons can actually go and win the thing then maybe premier league clubs might finally start to ask themselves why they are importing so many foreign players?

And then they'll remember 'because they're miles cheaper'.

No.
We'll piss through an easy group (I could manage England and get us through that group) meet someone half decent (France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Portugal) and go out abjectly.
At which point the media and Woy will claim that the tournament came a year or 2 too soon for this group and we'll be much better in Russia 2018.
In 2000 the Gerrard etc generation looked like World Cup winners in waiting but achieved nothing at international level so I'll wait to see how the next crop perform for a season or 3 before indulging in a media lead wankfest

I don't think that the likes of the French or Germans are anything special but there coaching and technical skill and the ability to follow instructions is superior. Last night did show what we are capable of but we just need to do it major competitions.

For the love of God lets just hope this is the end of Hodgson's love in with Walsnott and Wilshere.

In all seriousness, Italy have been poor and have no real attackers at the moment Spain drew with Romania and are not playing well, Germany. Well it depends on tournament psychology really So who are favourites? Belgium with no Kompany and Hazard playing poorly or France? Or even England?

France and Germany are the favourites. Can never quite rule Spain out either.

Been saying it for a while - we have a GREAT chance of winning it. But Hodgson has got to play to our strengths and that is to play both Vardy and Kane upfront and Ali who is a class young player
I cannot see us not scoring goals and we should go for it.
On the other hand if he starts with the likes of Rooney, who's never turned up at any finals and Wellbeck, who doesn't score enough goals, we might as well stay at home.

When it comes to the crunch I can see him bottling it and reverting back to the old guard -even those just recovering from long term injuries. I'm not convinced he has the bollocks to pick the 10 outfield players that started Saturday night in a competitive match. Hope he proves me wrong.

(ANNOYED ? annoyed ANNOYED ? - I'm fucking incandescent ! its all About Stoke City and we've been shafted royally --again shafted???? how? by who????? we've had threads saying if Hodgson doens't pick Jack he's a cunt.....if he does pick him but doesn't play him he's a wanker...if he does play him he's an arsehole if it's not the germany game......if it is the germany game he's just hanging a stoke player out to dry....he played the germany game and now hodgson's to blame Jack's injured. it's football, injuries happen and we're all gutted for Butland but it's football...it happens and when it's an injury that didn't involve a collision or competition for the ball then it's one that could just as easily have happened against Watford. some on here are starting to sound like fucking Arsenal fans...Ramsey incident happens and then "It's football...people get injured....it was a complete accident and part and parcel of the sport" but when it's one of ours "Right, who can i blame first????". hypocritical much?????? show a bit of fucking backbone in the way that the injured party himself is!!!!! Hodgson didn't injure Jack and neither did the England team in general. stop being such a fucking fanny for once in your life

I'm not watching if Wilshire goes ahead of Drinkwater Wilshire, Sturridge, Rooney and Sterling are all players that are hard to get behind. Not really sure why - maybe somebody can tell me. Either way they had their chance at the World Cup and failed All the lads that played against Germany gave it a right good go and more importantly are better than the afforementioned players and all of them have kind of a refreshing attitude to the game and look like they are proud to wear the shirt - over to you Woy.

This young side as a fantastic chance of going far. I've said it before but I still can't help but think that Hodgson will hold us back when it really matters. Agree completely
