Let's see what you're made of kid!
It's shit about Butland but could be the making of Haugaard...

Or we could just wait and see the extent of the injury?

He looks impressive to me. Dominant, calm head, massive opportunity for him and be great to see him step up to the mark

I wouldn't be too concerned...
Haugaard has always done well whenever he has been called upon. Not as strong as Jack but a good back up.

Doing well as a pundit, past it as a keeper.

Funnily enough I was reading the column in the sentinel today about him and he's said he's improved massively since coming to England, lets see what he's really like.

We had this when Bego and Sorro were out and Butland stepped up so I've every faith in young Haugaard

He has the opportunity to put £1 million on his valuation for each clean sheet he keeps from now until the end of the season . A raw talent that needs more experience and his chance is here . I just hope he doesnt get injured or we will be knackered .

I feel sorry for the lad when/if he lets a goal in, he'll become the bastard child of Idi Amin and Nicolae Chaechescu.

Haugaard has already shown himself to be an excellent keeper. Wouldn't write Given off either. Still hoping that the injury is temporary and the rest between today and next week is enough.

Great chance for him.
In the few games he's played in he's looked like a bloody good keeper so if Butland is out for a while, these 7 games are a great chance for him to show us all where he's at.

If Jack has a bad injury, which of course one hopes not, then this is a fantastic chance for Haggy
No pressure as we are safe
Would be annoyed if Shay, even though like him, is given the opportunity
Need to look to the future and all that

Not a great season on the injury front. But Haugaard has done well when he has played.

Definitely not the way any of us would have wanted Butlands game to have gone or for the way Haugaard now has his opportunity, but it is his chance, he now needs to show he has what it takes to be a long term no2 with the potential to replace Butland when he leaves for a bigger branded club.
I've not seen much apart from a friendly and a cup game, but fingers crossed he takes the chance.

He'll be fine. He looks like he has some serious promise.
I'm more excited about this than downhearted.

Haugaard looked good in the pre season tournament and to be honest we need 2 good keepers with experience for next season. one is never enough.
Hope Jack is ok and he recovers quickly looked like a jolt to a muscle to me so probably 2 - 3 weeks as we do not need to rush him.

Saw this guy in Singapore, he's a big unit and a good shot stopper, just needs to work on his distribution.

We all know Jack will be out and Jacob to replace him but who will be on the bench for us?
Shay Given = Injured Daniel Bachmann = Injured Dale Eve = Released Daniel Gyloai = Out on loan Dominic Kurasik = Out on loan
That leaves just the new boy from Southampton and Chris Marques who I know we don`t rate.

I remember the old days before subs, if the goalie got injured, one of the outfield players put on the jersey and played with 10 men.....
