Majority of football fans, other than those still in with a chance, want Leicester win the league. I reckon if it were Stoke in their position it would be completely different and would be waiting for us to fail.
Thoughts?

Same as with any small club. The bitter and jealous would will us to fail and the remaining majority would say good luck and hope you do it.

There'd be threads on here saying we should be 6 points clear and not 5.

There would be loads of people on here claiming we'd be 10 points clear if we hadn't let Huth go.
Imho Stoke would get the same level of support from neutrals that Leicester have. Basically we all want the big club monopoly broken and would love our club to do it, but happily back Leicester.

I know I would have trouble sleeping and eating. Spend hours everyday studying the form guide's, the table and fixture list. Match days would be spent on top of a hill where there was no phone signal and no radio. I would have a heart attach listening to a live game. In fact with seven games to go I would bugger off and live with a tribe deep in the Amazon until the season was over!

The daft thing is we are only a number of indifferent performances away from it
Leicester have been ultra consistent and deservedly lead the race, grinding out 1-0 wins playing poorly at times
We on the other hand have been brilliant at times, but when we are bad..we are really bad!
Leicester would have found a way to win or at least take a point at
Liverpool (h) +1pt, Norwich (a) +2, WBA (h) +3, Watford (h) +3, Sunderland (a) +1, Palace (h) +3, WBA (a) +1, and a threadbare Southampton (h) +1
Not saying we should win every match, teama lose, but our usually fantastic home form this season would probably have seen us comfortably in at least a top 4/ Champions League berth!
All what could have been but lets not forget how excellent it actually is.
(Ps, if we were in Leic position, I would be expecting us to blow up in grand style any minute!)

I agree with the OP, a lot of neutrals from other prem clubs would be wanting us to fail, sadly our old tag of being a team of cloggers and hoofers still haunts us, even though we do not play like that, and I also think our hooligan past plays a big part, people simply do not like Stoke and would want us to fail, and I must admit if it was West Ham, Milwall or Cardiff in Leicester's place I'd want Spurs to win...

I hope they win and smash the southerners.

Other than Arsenal fans, most fans of other clubs I meet have nothing but respect for us and how we've progressed into an established and well-run part of the Premier League landscape. Even when we were 'dirty Stoke' it was mainly Arsenal (and perhaps Liverpool, we seemed to dick them fairly often) fans who hated us. I don't suppose West Brom fans would be whooping for a Stoke title charge, but they are all about pure footballing artistry I guess, trophies, like avoiding relegation, are beneath them..

I don't think so many would be backing us as they are leicester. If it was us and not Leicester though, with a bit of luck Wenger would have self combusted by now

If Stoke City were top of the Premier League every single football fan outside of Stoke-On-Trent would want us to fuck it up and want someone to overtake us, that is a fact.

not really, we are a top half side on the up where as Leicester were predicted to go down after the appointment of ranierie Did you see Leicesters run at the end of last season? The majority of fans still thought we played shit football so for us to be in the same position as Leicester now would have been as much of a shock.
