Hope he does something about access to cockfighting. Because of their rules on anticapitalism, cockfighting is banned & even though it still goes on, gringos arnt allowed, cause that would be a bridge too far for the coppers to tolerate who attend these cockfights. Sort it out Obama, I want rum, cigars & cockfighting to salsa musicXx

Cuba was a unique, vibrant place with a lot of poor but resourceful and friendly people when I toured it pre millennium.
If it just becomes an American annex again it will be very sad.

From what I've heard, it's a V different Cuba now, to the one in the 90's. Tourist $'s with V little opportunity to break into the paso market. To put that into some perspective, Cuban cigars can be bought for the eqiverlant of 7p in the paso market!!!

Its still the same . I was there a few weeks ago . There are slight signs of change but most trade is with China and Venezuela . The countryside is still the same but once the yanks move in then the whole country will be bought up in hours . It will have a devasting effect on the unique natural enviroment and culture .....just imagine if 6 million foreigners were to come and live in the Uk . Can you imagine if cities like Leicester and Bradford become muslim ....it just wouldnt feel like Britain anymore . We would lose our identity . Thank god Burslem and Tunstall are just the same as I remember them in the 70s ....I would hate to see it culturally pulluted .

I'm no great fan of the Stones, but would have loved to be in Habana to feel the vibe of them playing there for the 1st time. I havnt been to Cuba since the kids were born, but if you have sampled the delights of Cuban music, it is without a doubt world class. These people have too much rhythm
