Perhaps those of you who believe in nothing should elect Stephen Hawkins as your god. The man speaks and his word is law. Perhaps religion is the thing that covers all things unknown and beyond our comprehension and if it helps to comfort people in their times of need perhaps it's not such a bad thing after all. There used to be a divorcee in her 50's down Pittshill that offered the same type of services ....fucking good she was too. Just below the turning for Packmoor on the left opposite Bill Martins house ...

Religion can't be taught in schools nor by parents. It's something that finds you, if it finds you at all. Teaching kids about, what is basically the afterlife, can't be good when they are only young. Poison before breakfast.

Let's remember King Alfred the Great and King Aethelstan, Christian fore fathers of our country. Some things are worth preserving.

I think she went by the name of busty Brenda ....her husband had suffered a heart attack at the tender age of 26 . The only surprise was that he lasted that long ....

At school I work at the students in yr 10 and 11 research the world's main religions as part of ASDAN CoPE Level 2 award. These include Christianity, Catholic, Islam, Judism, Buddism, Sikh and Hinduism. Personally IMO this gives students a chance to understand how religions affect cultures and beliefs. It's not about blind belief in a god but a deeper understanding of how people from other cultures live their lives and view issues that affect us all. Most students quite enjoy doing this even though they may not believe in a god.

Without a doubt it is , perhaps I phrased it incorrectly , history cannot be altered no matter that some would wish to , whether that religious content is relevant today is the point I'm doubting .

Some things are worth preserving. & Edward the confessor He certainly had an indelible impact on the history of England , it can be argued that his reign lead to the end of Saxon rule due to his Norman upbringing and the "promise " of the English crown to William .

I've bought Michael Woods 'in search of' series on DVD from the late 70s. Still great viewing that fires your imagination.

While the government is fannying about with academies and extra school hours (poor little sods, thy'r imprisoned for long enough already) it's avoiding the big point totally. ALL FAITH SCHOOLS should be abolished now, immediately, at once. Anglican, Catholic, Muslim, Jewish, doesn't matter.

That's what I like about Buddhism here in Thailand. It is not a religious following, more of a life style following, I'm not really that up to speed with it, but what I do know is that it teaches respect, and peace, and here they are absolutely shit scared of upsetting Buddha...Sometimes though it is somewhat misguided, for example on building sites you see em on scaffolding, no hard hat, no safety gear, and when you ask why, they say it's ok, Buddha will look after me...yeah right, he's good at catching a 10 stone bloke falling of a 20 story high rise, same with the sights you see on motor bikes, Mum,Dad, 2 kids, all on a scooter, no helmets...Buddha looking after them... But it is hardly a peaceful following, you ask the Muslims in Myanmar ( Burmah ) that are absolutely persecuted to hell by Buddhist fanatics, but you get that across all religions and followings...
