Been lucky enough to get the day off so really looking forward to making a day of it, as I don't get down to Staffordshire anything like as often as I would wish at the moment. Leaving Leeds at crack of dawn, to spend a few hours in my favourite piece of Staffordshire landscape (walking round Copmere, Langot Valley than Bishop's Woods and back to Copmere), then taking me old mum and dad out for something to eat at Trentham, then off to match. Back in Leeds about midnight. Sounds like a great day out mate! I hope the weather suits. :-)

Forecast is not too bad at minute, but even if it pees it down I'd still do the walk, as it is currently such a rare treat. When I was about 17, used to have a mate who lived at Copmere End, and as well as the achingly beautiful scenery, had loads of pub crawls (The Star, Brown Jug, Vernon Younge Arms etc) around that area.

Now he's retired I wonder if Wilko will start posting on here? Be a great perspective for us to see someone's opinion who has played for and supported the club.

I know this has been established but memory fails me, there's no tickets are there, just bring your season card?

Will there be any other middle aged sad bastards like me hanging around after the game after a cheeky selfie/autograph from some of old greats? I have a framed signed Stoke shirt with the likes of Banks, Greenhoff & Co on it, but I want RF10 to add his legendary signature to it????

Is there anything happening before the game or is it just a bit of a warm up and then the game? Not sure on what time to arrive

You'd think Stoke would have some sort of news about it wouldn't you? It's almost as if they're not very good at communicating.

As people have said, though, the timing really isn't good for people who don't live in the area. I would think that there are a good number of people who could have come at a weekend, but can't make it up there on a Monday night. I would think anything close to 15,000 would be a very good turn out. Well I live in East Yorkshire with a round trip of almost 300 miles. I have a season ticket and was there yesterday to see Diouf's wonderful header to win it for us, and I will be there again tonight to see a whole crowd of Stoke legends. The mate I go with is on his way to Malaysia, but my daughter is coming with me.She's missing her lunch break to finish work early and then we'll be on our way in the next hour. We conna bloody wait!

I know this has been established but memory fails me, there's no tickets are there, just bring your season card? I picked up tickets from the ticket office. When I got my tickets on Friday they had sold all the tickets they could for the John Smiths and were only selling Boothen and Sentinel. But they did say there were cash turnstiles in the John Smiths.

Despite them saying you should buy in advance, you can't buy them online. You pick the number you want and it resets back to zero. Wtf.

That's commitment, fair play to you sir. Thanks mate, but I'm lucky as I'm retired and can easily spare the time. (Also my wife knows this one is important to me.) I do understand it's difficult for a lot of people who'll be working - which is why it was disappointing to read critical comments on the potential numbers attending earlier in the thread. Those who can make it will, I'm sure, be there. Those who can't, for whatever reason, simply can't. Live and let live, say I. RF10 was sitting with his family behind me yesterday at the back of block 2. I asked if he'd brought his boots for the second half as the first half was so poor - he just grinned and said "Tomorrow!". Then Imbula scored and he was up and cheering like any Stokie. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/kwfoKwtHI0jglJZ4qZf6.gif)

I'm not from Stoke, so for me, Wilko's legend is less to do with him being a local lad and more to do with the fact that he represents all that would be right in a more just world. Hard working, honest as the day is long, brave as a lion and made the most of his undoubted talent, all helping him to achieve his dream.
Well done Andy. I won't be at the game, but thanks for the many wonderful memories.
Enjoy your richly deserved "retirementt", whatever you choose to do mate.

Don't understand it to be honest, I have got an equally impressive six pack, normally keep it in the fridge ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/kwfoKwtHI0jglJZ4qZf6.gif)
