Apparently one of the reasons we're hesitating about filling the corner is due to other projects including the relaying of the pitch which according to Coatesy is "costing several million" (tonight's Sentinel). I'm sure he should have got a few quotes on that one

You obviously haven't been following the story about the new hybrid pitch (grass and plastic) which we are having at the Brit and at Clayton Wood. It is the same type that many of the big stadia have, like the Emirates and Wembley. And you can't get quotes on it as only one firm is licensed to supply it. here it is

You can't fail to see the quality of the Prem. pitches nowadays against other leagues efforts. Marvellous.

How many teams in the league have these new pitches? I know Wembley and Arsenal do. Any others?

Problem what the board are forgetting is, you can have the best quality pitch to play football on, but if you've got hurricane Charlie blowing through you might as well play on sand.

Plus new under soil heating,if our home form does not improve we won't need to increase. Not like you to add a negative Not a negative the truth we have won 7 out of 16 home games,so called fans want to see there team play well first and if we win as well great, how many homes would you say we have played well in,you heard the booing again which I think is crap and true fans don't do it but it's becoming a regular thing at home games now that's negative.

Read what you put. The negative is we wont need it. What proof do you have of that? Have our attendances dropped ? no. So its purely negative not factual.

Hate to mention the scoreboard corner again (the OP did at the start of his post) but did you hear the Southampton lot giving Arnie loads of abuse as he walked off today? The sooner we do the relatively simple and right thing which is to fill in the bloody thing and stick the away morons into it well away from the players tunnel the better. We must be the only club in the league that does this, the other clubs normally stick the away support well out of the way.
Have Stoke fans fully behind both goals and surrounding the tunnel. For pities sake just do it(!) it's not rocket science. As for the pitch, any truth that hybrid pitches can cause more injuries than the normal set up? Think I read it somewhere.
