Two Bids Rejected Wolves have had two bids for a striker from a lower league rejected.
Boss Glenn Hoddle revealed the move after today's one-all draw at Crystal Palace. The boss said: "The figure the club in question has thrown back at us is unrealistic. It's totally out of proportion.
"Contrary to some reports, we do not have a lot of money to spend and we have to use it wisely. But that (striking department) is the area we need to improve.
"On the basis of the price that has come back the deal won't go ahead but we will have to pick it up next week and see what happens."
Today's result was Wolves' fourth consecutive draw. Whilst there were chances for both teams, the best fell to Kenny Miller after an effort from Darren Anderton had hit the bar.
"It was a great piece of skill from Darren and it was unfortunate it hit the bar," added Glenn. "But Kenny should have scored.
"To be fair to him he has been out for six weeks (hamstring) and it was good that he got through 90 minutes. He is going to need a bit of time to get back to his best.
"A draw was probably a fair result but the best chance of the game did fall to us and it's like Groundhog Day again that I am here saying we have got to put the ball in the net.
"We don't set out to draw. We attack away from home and we'll keep doing that - but if we don't find a cutting edge we are not going to win games."

Like the bit about Darren Anderton:
"To be fair to him he has been out for six weeks (hamstring) and it was good that he got through 90 minutes. He is going to need a bit of time to get back to his best.
still living up to his nickname "Sicknote"

What do you mean? Surely you realise he's going to come back to scintillating form in the last few weeks of the season - just in time for the world cup???

He'd be a bloody good player if he could stay away from injuries.
