Moyes or Pearson.
The others egos are too big for Championship football.

I guess it depends on the long term ambition of Ashley. If it's just to stay in the league year after year there's a guy currently at West Brom who'd be a perfect fit.

Dyche would be my favourite from that list!
Then Redknapp, Howe, Pearson!

Mark Warburton.
Doesn't Ashley have connections to Rangers as well?

The best fans in the world wouldn't put up with bonus games or 5 centre halves I know mate. They proved that when they drove Big Sam out. Fuck knows why they chose Mclaren after what he managed to do to Derby last season.

Pellegrini if I were Ashley Failing him, Pearson - but, in the time available, would the numerous foreign contingent up here knuckle down and accept his discipline and hard-headedness?

Of those four, Moyes first, then the massively overrated Benitez, then Rodgers and then Pearson. Pearson's record is fine, but his temperament and borderline insanity or just too much.

Moyes or Pearson. The others egos are too big for Championship football. All four of them have monstrous egos, especially Pearson.

If I were a Newcastle fan I wouldn't see much point in a new manager unless/until the owner either sold to someone else or suddenly aquired the ability to manage the club sensibly.
The owner of a club the size of Newcastle (with that big stadium and fanbase) needs to be ambitious, prepared to put his money where his mouth is, choose a decent manager and let him get on with managing team affairs without any interference.
If/when the ownership is sorted then Dyche would be a decent option or Pellegrini, if he could be persuaded to come.

Somebody with experience of the Championship!
On a different note, I always get the feeling Benitez will end up at Stoke one day.

There is only one human being on the planet capable of keeping Newcastle in the Prem.
However, he is manager of West Brom.

If ashley is willing to throw in a crazy bonus, and pay off west brom, no doubt pulis will be up there in a shot, doing a short 6-12 month stint probably. No doubt he would save them.
This is the dilemma facing a club in newcastle's position. Are you willing to sell your soul to keep premiership status? I bet Newcastle fans would love to have pulis right now
