The club should turn an area of the ground into singing fans only.
The atmosphere at the moment is diabolical and an embarrassment.

It's a home fan thing and it's been like that for years and affects every club
Away games are a different ball game ....again for every club with a big following

To be fair I think you'd call the block 19 area and the South Stand singing areas, the rest of the stadium is the problem. I agree though, atmosphere is dire and getting worse to be honest.

They have mate it's called the South stand. That is the only part of the ground that hasn't given up on singing at the minute although I'm pretty sure the Seddon/ family stand started a chant last night. Agree with Wezza about home fans in the prem because every ground you go to is the same with the exception of Leicester

The atmosphere wasn't great last night. Not sure whether it was the weather or the fact the game seemed to trot along in the first half.

Nothing says small time like 'singing area'. The reason why our support was applauded for years is because of how sedate the support is in the whole league, we were just an exception to the rule as a consequence of getting promotion. You'll find almost all fans of every club only really turn up against bigger / rival teams. It's unfortunate, but it's just how it is.

Well I went palace and what an atmosphere it was there, they have a signing area and it makes a huge difference, all fans who sing go in one part and the tunes are not out of tone and everybody in that area will join in.

The slow tempo of our play recently is sending people a sleep,we don't even bother to stand up now for corners because we know nothing is going to happen,if he team play at a higher tempo and put teams on the back foot the crowd then get up for it,but away games are brill.

We're boring to watch at the moment, but we are boring cunts ourselves, as for a singing section, I vote no it's small time and sounds petty.

Should we also have a "moaning bastards area"; an "always leave with 10 minutes to go area" and a "can't manage for 45 mins without going to the bog 4 times area".....

Singing areas are what pathetic 'nothing' clubs do, we're Stoke City for fuck sake! Get us riled up & make us feel like the world is against us & we do an atmosphere better than anybody.
... I also hate this idea that singing equals atmosphere. Twenty-odd thousand Stoke fans shouting at some opposition player/referee to "Fuck off you fucking bastard" with that angry, grumbling, roaring sound behind it is an atmosphere. Fifty teenage gimps going "Whhhoooaaaaa" all game is NOT an atmosphere, and thankfully will never be heard at Stoke City matches.
