Portsmouth in the cup, I had three thick layers on, a steaming hot brew and my bollocks still ended up in my sternum.

Sunderland in the snow when Huth got sent off. Managed to get tickets in the one part of the stadium that provided fuck all protection from the snow (John Smith Lower by the changing rooms). Froze my fucking bollocks off.

Is it ever anything but perishing?? Don't know about other bits of the ground but the Q-Railing is constantly sub zero August to sodding May.

Think it was Darlington in auto windscreens bastard freezing then went into extra time.
Thank fuck it was golden goal as Kyle LightBourne scored an early winner.

Froze my fucking bollocks off. I think that was the game when I got genuine hypothermia. I came home from the game frozzen through and had to switch the central heating on full and lie in front of the fire with blankets over me for three hours before I stopped shivering. That's why I didn't go tonight. At 75 I don't want a repeat of that episode. I still enjoyed tonight. We won and I was lovely and warm. OS.

I think the 2-1 home win against Newcastle, where Jones and Jerome scored, might be the coldest that I can remember.

Absolutely freezing and game was one of the worst I've ever been to. You were sensible to go at half time. I stayed through the whole game and can honestly say that was the worst game I've ever attended. (And yes, I was at the Blythe Spartans game.) The cold was bad enough, but when compounded with THAT game, it was a nightmare. OS.

York City at The Brit in 2010 I think it was, and kick off got delayed by 30 minutes, because the York players were stuck in traffic.

I think that the worst ones (and this has happened to me a few times), are in May / August / September when you think you'll be fine without a coat. Then it goes dark..
I seem to remember getting badly caught out when we played Reading in the cup a few years ago - went to extra time and pens - froze me knackers off.

Froze my fucking bollocks off. It's got to be this one by a country mile. With the added bonus that I didn't get home til 8:15 because of the snow. Two hours later than normal.
