We do have better service into the box these days , but still don't have the cutting edge . This is the difference between 10th spot and a top six finish .....and yes with the players we have and with the investment put in , then we should go that last step .
Next season we could be the new Leicester if we get Shawxross back and with a new "Vardy" up front ....
We may have to dig deep though to get one ....

Only 3 shots on target, (they had 1!)

Leicester won't be anywhere near as fortunate next season. I'd rather have our team than theirs.

I think the signing of Huth has had a big part to play in their success .... Whereas we signed Wolfsheid ... Id have the big man back tomorrow .....and he doesn't wear girlie gloves either ...

5 goals in 2 games is a step in the right direction.

I'd rather progress slowly than nearly get relegated and go on a one season wonder run. I doubt they will be anything special next season, and if they are, then hats off to them. The way it's going though just screams failure next season. When you go from rock bottom to the top that quick you can only go backwards really.

Winning the Premiership is the ultimate accolade no matter how quickly yo do it . When you consider that it's Leicester who are there at the top , then it makes it that bit more special . They have ripped up the rule book in the faces of the top six and shown it is possible . A lesson to us all .....A benchmark to aim for ....

A bit more urgency in our play would help. At 2-0 up today rather than going for the jugular we eased of and strolled around like it was a pre season friendly. Im sick of the amount of times this season ive been watching players passing it around going no where.

Anything particular about Dale Winton? From what I can see, Wolly isn't a big user of the tanning booth. Something else you are insinuating perchance?

Yet again Villa in a long list of many this season were able to get the ball from their own penalty to ours within 2/3 passes, we move forward 10 yards stop pass sidewards and repeat until we eventually lose the ball and have to start again. Definitely need more urgency about us.

What do you expect when you have a bloke born offside and continually giving the ball away playing through the middle?
We need a top quality CF.

Diouf just has to play. His movement is miles ahead of all of our other forwards. 7 minutes on the wing is a criminal misuse of him.

We really do need someone who can take corners. No point players like Wolli coming up if Shaq can't get the ball over the first defender. We had loads of corners but failed to put much pressure on them.

Leicester won't be anywhere near as fortunate next season. I'd rather have our team than theirs. You sir, are deluded. Whilst there is clearly a lot of quality in our squad and tons of clearly untapped potential Leicester are top on merit and are a far better more complete team than us. They got a bit lucky today but in general they've deserved it.

They got a bit lucky today but in general they've deserved it. I was apparently delusional when I was backing Diouf, and everyone was saying he should fuck off back to Hannover. Same with Wollscheid. I also said Afellay needs to be playing in more attacking positions as it's a waste to put him in with Whelan. Look how much better he is with more freedom. If I were offered a straight swap with their team I honestly would reject and you will see why next season, then come back and call me deluded.

Other than the goals we didn't really create a clear cut opportunity. Chance creation is still at a premium.

Perhaps that is a result of squad rotation in terms of the strikers and not allowing ourselves to maintain a settled front two ... hopeful balls into into the box just don't work , but when you have a settled team you get to know where the runs will go....

I agree and also massive inconsistency. Arnie is still inconsistent and Shaq is massively so. Bojan has been consistently poor and Afellay has been consistenlty neat and tidy. I've found this season massively boring.

Agreed.....Bojan on current form is an expensive luxury that we can do without .
Not only does he get caught in possession too often , but his passing is dreadful.
I feel sorry for Shaquiri because there is so much rotation up front and it is so difficult to predict different strikers styles and run-on's to thru balls ...
It's making him look shoddy ...and he clearly isn't .!

As for Shaqiri I'm still waiting and I do think it could be about this time next year until he's kicked on. It all means we really need to keep Arnie, fingers crossed.
