I thought Liverpool were having a tough time with injuries, but they could define our season. Based on the comments in the Johnson Thread we have Shawcross, Muniesa, Cameron & Johnson out. Yesterday I saw Josaleu at the Nuffield Clayton limping his way into reception to add another! At the moment what side can Hughes pick from players 100% fit & 100% worthy of a place. Some serious thoughts on players in the squad covering key positions required.

This from physio room, I don't know how accurate it is.
Do be honest I think these things are at least as much about "who" as "how many" !

The "Johnson" thread is almost a week out of date concerning injury news, so no need to "Panic" as you say in your avatar

A bit of 'Panic over!'?

This is disappointing after a two week windows. Shawcross was always Mr reliable, just hope it's not a sign of increasing fragility with that back area.

That's annoying.
He doesn't really seem to think he's all that close either.
Could be a couple of weeks off?

The worst thing is we knew neither him or Cameron were close coming out of the window and did nothing to address the issue. We'll be lucky to make halfway if we're relying on Tex, Muni and Wolli to carry us through the rest of the season. This strikes me as a long term issue that needs addressing in the summer. I just pray Geoffs not in the same "maybe in a couple of weeks" situation. All we needed to do was get in a loan didn't have to be someone on a 4-5 year contract.

I'm confident that MH will add another CB in the summer if at all possible We were in a similar situation last season where the majority of injured players were defenders -far from ideal but we coped. Maybe time to look at the u21 players

One things for sure we need to do a lot of attacking on Saturday

Spot on it's not like they're 16/17 the only issue it would be easier if they could be helped through a game by someone like Ryan rather than defenders who need to concentrate more on there own game.

The news about Shawcy is worrying to say the least. Anyone who has had back issues knows that they don't get sorted easily and to play top level sport would seem to be a no no. Bet the clubs health bills have shot up in the last month or so
