A man who was proud to be British and loyal to his country .
A man who put the Great into Britshness .
A man far removed from the majority of the rubbish we see today .
We salute you .

It wasn't just remarkable Harry-it was the life I would have loved. A bloke who lived doing what he enjoyed.

I knew very little about him, I'm not really an aviator fan, but have just watched " The greatest pilot" on BBC iplayer, it was quite remarkable, what a life! If you have even a remote interest in aviation, world history or have any desire to watch a true hero, I urge you to watch this programme, I believe it is still available for about 17 days. Some of the records he holds for most landings on a ship and different types of plane flown will probably never be beaten.
