it was all to do with the kick off being at 3.00pm.
A load of old tosh, but that was the reason. we were offered 7,000 tickets but on the proviso the game kicked off at 12.00.

Lancashire Police, like their Greater Manchester neighbours dislike us with a passion...... They were always bad, with a stinking attitude towards football fans in general, but they had more of a grudge with us after getting a proper straightener at the Wigan game in 2000. Not happy chaps.

Twisted logic fella. It does not justify the police action. The trouble was not linked to us having 1,000, 3,000 or whatever number of supporters at the game. You could equally argue more supporters would have reduced the likelihood of trouble.

I was at Blackburn - first away game for about 15 (?) years. Just a few of my thoughts as a 'respectable' (?) fiftysomething man with a wife & kids There were a lot of Stokies there, many were merry and seemed to be enjoying themselves. My thoughts were that *if* we had been given the upper tier too:- maybe the police could have blocked off some of the seats near the opposition seats, thus diffusing any 'confrontation' (?) maybe some Stokies would have bought tickets for their own end, rather than going into the Blackburn end (?) maybe if there wasn't the general impression, weeks before the game of police 'hostility' towards the Stokies (?) Then the majority of Stokies would have been less hostile in general??? It was however difficult to keep calm with all the dross on the pitch as well

Bayern is leaping into the simplest of causality theory. The type of logic embraced by the likes of Thatcher when considering problems at football in the past. Nonsense in other words.

Lots of factors that our fans should know better about! Don't raise to the bait of home fans. Don't buy tickets in home ends. Etc etc etc How is it nonsense? They were worried about our fans behaviour and our fans duly behaved like tits. They were correct.

Of course but that's all it takes isn't it? People shouldn't have bought tickets in home ends. And if you do, you should behave and sit quietly. And yes I can get high and mighty here because I'd never do that because I know I'd get battered!

There was a few tits in the crowd when we took 450 to Swansea the other month. Maybe going forward we should cap out away followings to members of local church congregations only to ensure zero issues for the local plod

2.30 on West Ham to win - great price for me. They're taking this competition seriously and a far stronger side.
Having said that, so were we last season.
On that basis, I've gone for the draw no bet at 1.57, slightly less risk but as part of an four-fold it should be okay.
