I had to turn around there today when trying to park at my usual spot for St John in the Vale walk - parked up at the Church instead.

LP I take it that's the main Keswick-Grasmere road? I take it the the small road on the other side of Thirlmere doesn't help? Any announcement as to when it will reopen in some shape or form?

I take it the the small road on the other side of Thirlmere doesn't help? Any announcement as to when it will reopen in some shape or form? Right this is complicated. 1 The A 591 road has been washed away on the north side of Dunmail Raise just south of Thirlmere. And there are severe problems on the A591 where it runs alongside Thirlmere. They have cleared thousands of tons of rubble but the conifers on the slopes of Helvellyn are collapsing onto the road and a mega tree felling operation is underway. The road is expected to re open in late May. 2. They have built a temporary road (involving using a forest road, an artificial road and two "bailey" bridges) to bypass the washed away section. This links up with the minor road round the west side of the Lake. 3. The new route described above opened to an hourly shuttle bus in each direction today. It can also be used by pedestrians and cyclists but not private vehicles until they have evaluated the damage (if any) caused by the shuttle bus. I would imagine if it does open to cars then the section up Dunmail Raise pass will have something like a 10 mph limit on it. As the new rebuilt road is not due to open until late May, they can't risk too much wear and tear on the temporary road.

I guess you must have the road to yourself when you go to stock up at Booths

I guess you must have the road to yourself when you go to stock up at Booths I can't reach the A591 at Thirlmere to go to Keswick that way as my valley is currently a cul de sac because of damage to a bridge over Mill Gill at Legburthwaite 400 yards south of me. I have to travel north to the A66 or on minor roads via Castlerigg stone circle. It really is a bit like living in a post apocalyptic world up here at the moment! It isn't bad now we have got used to the routes that are blocked. But in the early days after the floods most of us took wrong turns from time to time and ended up at a missing bridge or a collapsed culvert. EDIT - Booths is mostly shut due to flooding - it just sells milk, bread and a few staples. It should be mostly open by mid Marxh apart from the cafe. The Coop supermarket reopened last week though.

Subject: Suggestions
Thank you for your email, Boj.
I am always welcome to hear suggestions from anybody about the matchday experience. You said in your email that it would be grand to be able to get a blow job at half time.
Having discussed this with the management team, I am afraid to advise that, due to other commitments and matchday duties, I am unable to find the time to give you a half time gobble.
Yours sincerely
Tony

are you emailing him that you want season ticket prices to be increased like our supporters council do? No need for that! Ilford Dave, council member representing Stoke City couriers worldwide had the music turned down with no thanks from ungrateful barstewards like you!
