Favourite topic I know but have we reached a turning point?
Villa game sold out and for most games on sale it is difficult to find two seats together months ahead
Looks to me that the Imbula signing may have finally convinced the casual fans that Stoke mean business?
And this on the back of three 3-0 defeats

Planning application also ends so if the club doesn't make a decision this seasons end then the whole planning process starts again
Which would be financial madness so to me it means that they have no intention if a decision isn't imminent

OK I've heard they are replacing the current playing surface with a part synthetic surface at the end of season, as the club are worried that filling in the corners would ruin the current pitch.Maybe this would hint that they are ready to expand ?

I'll call the club tomorrow but this is sickening. Nearly every game is a sell out and I am sick of dick heads on here saying we don't need the extra seats. There are lots like me who miss out.
This is a fucking joke. Put some extra seats in!

They should have a method like other clubs do where season ticket holders can put their season ticket up for sale when it's sold out.
The seat is sold for face value on the day.
The season ticket holder gets what they pay back.
The club get the difference.

The playing surface is being replaced you are correct with semi synthetic but this as nothing to do with the corners being filled in its to help to keep the surface more uniform all season long

And so after one of the worst games , performances, and conditions I and many others have ever experienced, we are still cueing up to support our team whilst many others are un able to get admission to the ground. Season ticket holders of long standing , make comments of how things used to be, and your support is recognised and appreciated, but come on let's welcome new and returning fans and get these corners filled in.
If we can sell out to Aston Villa and continue week after week IT IS A NO BRAINER

So we're have a top notch pitch to help our skillful players play great football, whilst hurricane Charlie blows through the ground. They start trying play it along the ground and end up aiming towards the dugout to get the ball to land near the corner flag by the scoreboard.

I see why Stoke are wary
So many clubs expanded their stadium to fit the demand then got relegated, lost the fans and the stadium then looks wank with so many empty seats.
Wolves are the perfect example.
However, my personal opinion is. Now is the best time to do it as we're clearly a top 10 side, we've got players in our team that 5 years ago I'd have pissed myself laughing at the suggestion they would Don the red and white stripes, and we do pretty much sell out every week.
They should fill in the corner between the boothen and main stand so the lower tier adjoins onto the boothen, then at the other end fill in below the scoreboard perhaps?
Would probably add around 2k seats to take us over 30k capacity

If we don't sell out give tickets yo kids. If kids go one of games their parents will give them money for a hot dog and a soft drink. That will be 7 quid per person. It's ot a lot...but the secondary spend is an influential part of any business

It could only not be re-approved if there has been a significant change in circumstances, such as other developments. If the planning authority refused, then the club would have good grounds for appeal against the decision, which could be overturned. The time to obtain a new planning approval is the main issue as it would have to go through another consultation period I expect.

The ticket office all ready give away free tickets to schools to make sure the ground is full (almost) every week.

I would like to see the capacity increased, what I'm not so happy about is the extra 2-3k getting to and leaving the ground. it's a nightmare as it is

Conversely they may be putting plans together for a completely different strategy.

Only offer is flag waving which you have to pay for and still about £20.

That is the Big Screen corner and it will add 1,800 seats plus about 20 wheelchair spaces as per the approved planning application.

Same mate. It seems that whenever I plan to come back to the UK (usually a month or so in advance) games are already sold out. Incidentally I got news from the club that they work hard getting around 1K more people in games via community and members offers, with the exception of the Man United game on Boxing day. I'm not convinced.

I live in London with weekend commitments but when I get the chance to bring my kids to the game it's almost sodding impossible to find three seats.
