What could we expect? Can we take three points for granted? Can we do a Liverpool, beating them 6-0? I don't think so, but we'll win it 3-0 I guess. What would be the best team? What team can we expect? Shawcross back? Shaqiri? Arnautovic? In the meantime, enjoy the break.

We should hammer them, someone is due a pasting.
But its Stoke and they need points so probably lose 1-2

Very often after a severe tanking a team will come out all guns blazing and so we need to be beware.
However following our Bournemouth win I think our lads still have targets and ambitions, and will be well up for it.
I see no reason why we can not get six points, but we will need a good Referee for Newcastle because they will be up for a hard struggle as they are desperate for points.

Hopefully, with a good game plan and a whole team hungry enough to treat each game like a cup final we can get the 6 points. We will also need cool heads and concentration, regardless of the oppositions poor form. We of all teams should know and be wary of this by now.

To be honest there can be no excuses in this game. They haven't won a single away game this season - only taken 3 points up till now. Having just been humiliated at home to Lpool and practically already relegated it would nothing short of embarrassing if we didn't win. Yes we've been far from impressive in the games we have been nailed on to win at home this season, but c'mon this is Villa, just look at the state of them.
I don't care how we do it, I don't care what the scoreline is, just secure 3 points please...

Villa will embarrass three or four clubs via cheeky wins before the end of the season (although it won't save them). Let's hope our midfield, defence and goalkeeper don't take this as a shoe-in victory. The attack should take care of itself.

We will hopefully have Geoff and Ryan back to give us added steel and athleticism at the back, and Bojan and Arnie back firing on all cylinders to give us more of a cutting edge. Tempting fate I know, but there really should only be one horse in this race, and a very convincing winner at that.

This could play into our hands, as other posters have pointed out, Villa are at the point now where just trying to sit back and squeeze a point out of a game just isn't a feasible option, they need to start winning games, so with Shawcross back and hopefully Glen Johnson, we in theory should be able to deal with whatever Villa throw at us quite comfortably and absolutely rape them on the counter.
This is the sort of match where players like Imbula will thrive, he'll be granted acres of space and will stretch those already shaky Villa defenders, add Shaqiri, Afellay, Bojan, Arnautovic and Joselu into the mix and it really could get quite embarrassing for the Villains.
But this is Stoke City so I expect nothing more than a 0-1 home loss courtesy of a shot that deflects off three players, hits both posts and then squirms under Butland.

Mate,we don't know how to attack our shots on target stats should have Butland dusting off his deckchair, yes we will huff and puff a bit but as soon as you score which should not take long we will cave in and it's just down to how much your lot are bothered to determine the final score, yes I sound despondent but this season has knocked the crap out of me and most Villa fan's and to be totally honest beating Derby's 11 point total already seems like a triumph the way the season has panned out. The sooner this relegation is confirmed and the season ends whoever is in charge can start to dismantle this bunch of overpaid, gutless bunch of wankers and build a team that gives us 100% and a bit of hope if nothing else ! UP THE VILLA

Depends if we revert to the turgid tip tap crap.
We had won on Saturday from the first minute when Jack launched the ball 80 yards instead of playing silly people with short passes across the back 4.

UP THE VILLA Watched the Liverpool game myself and I really did feel sorry for your supporters and the good name of your football club. No football fans of any team deserve to witness such lackluster and gutless performances from their team players, especially on their own turf. For what it's worth mate, I really do hope Villa turn it around and stay up, but realistically I just can't see it happening now. All the best for the remainder of the season, and beyond.

The two week span gives Garde time to work on team building and the players to forget the horrors of their defending. We on the other hand will come cruising thinking we are top of the world. In the end however class should come out on top. 3-2 in our favour.
