SEVENTY THOUSAND POUNDS PER WEEK. Mr Coates, ticket price hike in 2016/17 to recoup the losses thanks. What do you want us to do,offer him £250 a week? Like it or not that's about the going rate for a player of his quality and if we want to sign these kind of players we have to move with the times or we lose them. It's a lot of money but you could guarantee if we didn't offer it to him and he signed for Southampton on a 5 year deal for £70k a week this forum would be on meltdown which says in todays market he's worth it. This is Bojan Krkic at the end of the day isn't it not Wilson Palacios

A big round of 'OLE OLE OLE OLE BOJAN BOJAN' required today no matter if he is on the pitch or off it. Another signal of intent from this wonderful football club

This is Bojan Krkic at the end of the day isn't it not Wilson Palacios It's an astronomical amount of money and impossible for people like us to ever get our head around. Put it into context though and from a football point of view it is the going rate for a premier league player of his quality. Some fans will never be happy though, and as you say the same folk moaning about it being too much would be the first to moan if we didn't pay him what he wants, and he left us for someone else. I don't tend to worry about the wages our players are on,as it affects me in no way shape or form. As long as we've got owners who have the best interests of our club at heart then I don't see why it would bother any other fans either because Coates isn't going to go around chucking money at players that we cannot afford and bankrupting us any time soon.

And yet when he's on the pitch we look an infinitely better football team than when he's not on it. He hadn't hit the heights of his form pre injury this season, well not as regularly but he is a vital member of our team and one of the best players we've had in years and one who makes us tick. Worth every penny in today's market.

Does anyone know if the assumed buyout clause has been increased or dispensed of? The wee man has a rosy future here. His progress is apparent. According to Mark Hughes it never existed. It existed, but the club refuted this as they did not want it tested out even though they were sure that BOJAN would want to stay. Even when sky mentioned that he was in talks they club refuted that too as it would of drawn attention to the fact there maybe a clause. Is was not till we at SL&P spotted Puyol at CW that it was certain he was in talks due to him having a clause which has been altered
