Don't know what the stats say but he seems incredibly injury prone in games. What's occuring ?

Sadly, I think he'll eventually decide to return to warmer climes where muscular injuries are less likely.
Hope I'm wrong and he can stay healthy here...

He's struggled with injuries since he was at La Masia.

Its always his upper leg isn't it. He's never going to fulfill his potential if he can't keep fit

I was really encouraged when he made that full blood and thunder flat out sprint and seemed to have not broken down, I said as much to t'bairn, and within about 30 seconds he was stood with his hand in the air and then sat down and that was that. Really sad to see. Not heard anything about it today though, have I missed owt?

I'd be listening to offers, sadly. Hopefully we can convince a club in warmer climes with a slower pace of league to spend some money on him. Great player, when available, but we need to be upgrading our defensive options and he can't be relied upon.

Sometimes I wonder if the reason we've not gone out and bought a really top centre half to partner Ryan is because Hughes doesn't want to stifle Muniesa's progress. But it's starting to look like he'll always have these injuries, and I'd make a proper partner for Ryan my priority in the next window, someone who can also take the lead role if Ryan's not there.

There is a certain pattern with Muni's injuries though in that, they tend to come after an extended period of not playing. Hadn't he missed a few games before the Blackburn tie as well? I wonder if he's one of these players who doesn't quite put it all in, in training, then goes 100% in games and as such is more prone to muscle injuries.
Any news on how long it'll be?

Muni is great and should be retained at all costs! If fit easily good enough to start, if not his attitude around the dressing room makes up for it. Also has gotten a decent amount of gametime in his career with us anyways to be honest

A defender is still definitely 100% number one priority; but I'd bust a nut to keep Muniesa here, if only to keep my ickle pickle Bojie-poo happy.

Am hearing a version of our Muniesa song at Manure v Boro game.
Am certain it was an Oatcake OP original.

Chelsea had a version of it last night as well.
Ours is wank anyway and should be consigned to the "ultra wank songs" archives as soon as possible, filed right next to "deeply dippy" by Right Said Fred.

Just suited to away games with people who know how to sing it. At home, it is terrible.

I think singing it when Muniesa isn't even on the bench is a little weird, and when he is on the bench I think there's a danger that, whilst I'm sure this isn't the case, it could be perceived by the players in his positions and by the management as a reaction to Muniesa not being on the pitch.

It's definitely not an original. It's been ruined as well by it being constantly sung, often when Muni isn't even at the game.

Muniesa song was orate in Germany for the duration of the tournament (in the moment of time).
Just sounds pathetic now.
Same goes for the Delilah song.
Why, oh why Delilah? Cannot see any connection at all. And clapping themselves afterwards, what's that about?
Although a bit outdated, We'll be with you, is far better.

Cannot see any connection at all. And clapping themselves afterwards, what's that about? Although a bit outdated, We'll be with you, is far better. Strange post. Obviously Delilah is done to death and is pathetic at home as about 18 different version speeds get sung at the same time, but at the right moments and sung properly it is quite possibly the greatest terrace anthem humanity will ever see. But yes, it's extremely frustrating that not enough of our home support are self-aware enough to know when or how to sing it. I don't think it happens so much anymore but I can remember at away games about a decade ago it was infuriating that Delilah seemed to get sung on repeat yet We'll Be With You, which is actually our song, wasn't used nearly enough. (still isn't!) We'll Be With You is an anthem that sounds great on a continuous-loop but unfortunately it gets started then falls dead after just a few loops. Maybe if we could eradicate this silly fucking song-destroying habit of clapping unnecessarily during songs we could have a better atmosphere. I hate to get down on our own supporters but it really is soul-destroying when you see horrible habits infecting the atmosphere and it makes you wonder if it's a product of two decades of the modern americanised matchday experience that has led to all these atmosphere issues. The modern generation of supporters are like those chimps you see in America that get brought up as children in human homes and then when they are too strong for the owners to deal with they get reintroduced to chimps but have no idea how to act because they've spent their whole lives in an unnatural environment.

Remember at least 30% of fans are there as fashion, as shown by them leaving on 70 mins. They wouldn't know a Stoke song unless it was on X- whatever it is....

These people that knock Delilah get right on my tits. It's our song, no other team sing it, though correct me if I'm wrong did I hear Cardiff sing it, maybe a piss take. Bit like YNWA for the dippers, though some clubs so called fans do sing it, or IFBB for Wet Sham. Other songs like Oh when the reds, By far the greatest team, etc etc etc are not original and exclusive.

The last thing we need is to start saying "we shouldn't sing this" about our songs (no matter how bad!), we've only got about 5 that we actually sing as it is!

Well, I’m not a football chant snob. And I actually quite like the song, even if it's sang in Germany, England or Wales.
