What an absolute load of horseshit. Bego knew the score when he signed, there is no story here.

He's a fucking idiot if he thought he'd have game-time over Coutois

Think that's good news for us. He's a great keeper and he'll be cheaper than coming for Jack

Asmir must have known when signing that he had an upward challenge to displace Courtois? I don't think there's a great difference but I imagine the little things like kicking prevent Asmir from getting that number 1 spot.
What surprises me is that he's supposedly frustrated? Really? Like he somehow expected more game time? He knew he was going to be backup and that's what he's been.

There is nothing wrong with having confidence and belief in yourself! Whilst Bego was at Stoke he was loved by fans and he was always going to upset some people when he pushed to leave and go to a perceived better scenario. It was pretty obvious at the time Bego went to Chelsea that he was going to be behind Courtois. I really think he was badly advised. I think it could have been even worse because the Courtois injury did provide Bego with valuable experience. I do not think he particularly let his side down in this time! I do not understand the anger and hatred I sense from Stoke supporters in this thread. Bego went with my best wishes. He will find another good team and be placed amongst the best ten Gk's in the world. We now have another very good goalkeeper who will end up being in the top five goalkeepers in the world. Well done Stoke!

Jesus wept - hold a grudge from August 2010? Its not like we didnt get 5 fantastic years out of him and a profit when he went! His form in the last year had dipped, no doubt under pressure from Jack, and also wanting to move while his reputation was so high, it was just to the wrong club - no way would he replace Coutois, he is a sensible chap you get from interviews but he made a mistake. Either way his time at Stoke was done, for us it was just a case of who would cough up the most - there wasnt a queue from memory in the end (prob 12 months too late to really cash in) Can see him going abroad to be honest, Italy or Spain, most of our top clubs have decent enough keepers - Cech/Cortois/De Gea/Lloris/Hart - and Klopp seems to rate Migniolet who has improved in recent weeks. Dont think he would move to an English mid table side, so you would think abroad Hope our top transfer team have a sell on clause in there....

Pep will almost certainly want to replace Hart I'd have thought. Not with Bego mind

I don't see him going abroad, I genuinely see him back at Stoke next year.. I think we'll be hard pressed to keep hold of Jack and to be honest if that were the case I wouldn't be to disappointed.. Butland to Utd £25m and Bego back to Stoke for £5m... Would be a good bit of business.

Cheeky bid of £3 million so that Bego can put pressure on Haugaard for the number 1 spot if/when Butland leaves?

Begovic has played much more than I thought he would given the injury and suspension to Courtois. I also think Bego will end up abroad but, depending on his wages at Chelsea, it'll take a good offer.

Bego shot his bolt for me at the Burnley away game, Stokies singing the Bego song as he walked the width of the pitch to the dug out - he didn't acknowledge this until he was a few feet from sitting down, then a poor excuse for acknowledgement. What he does is of no interest to me, as stated previously - mercenary twat and a wry smile from me that Chelsea are in the shitter.

That is all very well and good but I would like to give you two situations if I may; Situation 1 - Player A first of all refused to play in a League Cup Tie because he was angry that this was confirmation of his position as No.2 Goalkeeper and he was disappointed in not being made No1 goalkeeper quickly enough. Player A then nailed down the no1 slot, turned in a couple of seasons worth of fantastic performances and had supporters rightly wishing him a fantastic world cup so that he could potentially get the move he clearly wanted and probably deserved. Player A didn't have a great world cup, no offers came for him and player A's performances degenerated to such a level that he was dropped for his very young, yet very capable understudy. Player A didn't help that young understudy and encourage him the way in which the previous No.1 goalkeeper had done with Player A, choosing instead to refuse sit on the bench and make his way home from an away fixture in a taxi. Player A then left at the very first opportunity to, more than likely, be a No2 goalkeeper elsewhere, pocketing a huge pay rise in the process. People ask supporters to be respectful to player A, give him a great reception when he returns with his new club and regularly claim that they have nothing but best wishes for him. Situation 2 - Player B arrived at the club and after a season of watching the ball fly over his head and having endured a season where he felt that he wasn't at the right club to improve his ability as a footballer, player B put in a transfer request. When Player B's manager left the club that summer, Player B knuckled down and established himself as a key member of the new managers team. Rumours circulated, though were never confirmed, that another transfer request was made. The player denied this and confirmed, publicly at least, that he was very happy at the club. Supporters chose to ignore those comments and labelled him a mercenary anyway. Despite not getting this alleged second transfer request granted, player B continued to perform well, improved himself as a player, became more important to the team and went on to have his best season, culminating in winning the Player of the Season award. With his contract term dwindling, Player B didn't instantly sign the new contract offered to him and during this period of uncertainty a champions league team and twice Europa League winners came in to sign him. Player B chose to leave Stoke City, taking a smaller wage in the process, to better himself and test himself at the highest level possible. In leaving, he also spoke highly of the club and it's supporters. One player is slammed as being useless, or a sulky, moody, mercenary bastard whilst one continues to be lauded by supporters for his time with us. Only at Stoke City could Player A be lauded whilst Player B is slammed. Begovic can go fuck himself. I didn't applaud him on his return to the club and I won't applaud him in the future. I hope his time at Chelsea sees him rotting on the bench and when he leaves, I hope he ends up at a club far lower than Stoke City in the pecking order. If Steven N'zonzi ever returns to our club, I will applaud him and wish him well wherever his career takes him.
