Absolutely gutted after Tuesday night but also very very proud of the team.In my opinion now everybody needs a boost with a couple of signings tomorrow. Sidwell gone Adam injured Wilson injured Shawcross and Cameron not back yet Surely we need to add players to the squad tomorrow with the list above, thoughts?

We were excellent against Liverpool. Boring and not very good against Palace. Overall our season is basically over, however should we sign some of the targets we've been linked with, then Europe may be in the cards

Gutted re Tuesday, I really thought that we could have got that extra goal to take us to Wembley
We wasted several chances to score v Palace, still fielded a good team
Agree re Ireland he had a good game
Diouf - MH is not going to sell anyone without a replacement lined up imo
All speculation re any transfer links
Currently injuries are to our defenders, it would only take a couple of problems with our forwards and we would have limited options - I would like Diouf to stay
Even if we don't buy in this window, just as important to hold on to our stars and try and secure some improved contracts

Difficult To know what to say about yesterday against Palace
I don't think we did anything wrong and perhaps if I had one criticism it was that we made a poor substitution bringin on Crouch / Diouf effectively cutting off the supply line when we had shown signs of improvement in the second half.
A disappointing week but when was being a Stoke fan ever easy ?

We spent all last January chasing a defensive midfielder that Jedniak bloke. 12 months later still no defensive midfielder. If Glenn gets injured we are buggered.

Russel I don't think we'd be able to afford Gary Cahil's wages. I'd rather we go for Keane

Why has Wilson been allowed to mow the grass, without proper training?

Left winger please, desperately short. As good as Arnie has been this season, he cant keep carrying our attacking threat. Also if we are rejecting bids for Diouf can we start paying him upfront in his proper position???
I don't think we will sign anyone which would be disappointing given the prizes at stake.

I think players nowadays are more like athletes and are more finely tuned hence the injuries, them days are gone when training was running up and down hills all day

Or even take a chance one of the youth lads. But we are Stoke and like to play our 30 year old plus players

Is there really any excuse for not putting chances away? Goals have to start coming from midfield and the back. Anything new on Arnie's contract talks? imperative he signs if we don't sign anyone.

Phillip is a terrific defender but if Muniesa wasn't so unlucky with injury he'd be starting every week, Marc is the 2nd best defender in the club.

How many goals have our defenders scored this season? How many have we scored from corner kicks this season?

Agree re extending use of technology etc to help officials
Goal line technology is working and accepted by players / fans etc
The foam used to mark 10 yards gap for free kicks - working very well
Maybe the next proposal should be to review every penalty decision, great idea then to have a clear view of players diving
See if this works than introduce other help if needbe
