Any recent news on Asmir's performances and appearances for Chelsea.
He'll have no regrets on the financial side but has probably suffered with opportunities to play for the first team.
It's a quiet Sunday, be objective not abusive.

One of the best deals the club has ever done.
We got rid of a goalkeeper on the wane and one who hadn't wanted to be at our club for over 12 months. We got more money for him than he was worth and replaced him with a player already at the club who is significantly better already and several years younger.
Who really cares how he's getting on at Chelsea?

Not sure if we got as much out of Begovic as we could have done, but in the circumstances we did pretty well. I'm still amazed a team like Liverpool or Everton didn't sign him though. Wonder whether he will get to showcase his talents for Chelsea in the next two years, Courtois is a decent keeper!

A Liverpool or Everton may well give Chelsea a profit on bego in the next couple of years

I like bego and wish him well. Not sure why he chose Chelsea but good luck to him.
But him leaving was indeed a great deal for us.

Anyone know how he's performing though? Well enough that 2 managers have put him on the bench.

Not even included for a cup match against lower league opposition and regularly a sub for a team below us in the league.
Worked out well for him hasn't it???
Hows he performing you ask? If you really want to know you might need to subscribe to Chelsea tv so you can watch live coverage of their u21 team in action :-)

Whatever the bank balance says he's got plenty of time to reflect on things. Still his problem, we're alright Jack.

It was always about the money as far as Begovic was concerned.
He showed a total lack of ambition the day he signed for that shithouse of a football club.

Sent from my Nexus 6P using proboards A planet where we all knew that Begovic would be a bench warmer at Chelsea behind one the world's best goalkeepers, where he would be playing hardly any football whatsoever. That in my book shows a complete lack of ambition because he was always going to be a number two behind Courtois.

I find it quite ironic (and hilariously funny) that a bloke who refused to play because he hadn't been made our no.1 keeper quickly enough then refused to sit on the bench having been dropped, now finds himself on the bench every week, even in the cup against lower league opposition.

I had no problem with Begovic leaving at the time but his decision to go where he did was a baffling one at best. For me, he has shown it was all about the money, so good luck to him and I hope he enjoys any medals that the first team win for him in the future.

Thing is though, I never had any man love for Begovic in the way that I had for Sorenson before him. I always felt that Stoke was just a stop off point for him and he certainly blotted his copybook when he had his little hissy fit where he wasn't in the right mind to play or be sub for us (can't recall the details)..
He's made his bed...

Sitting on the bench today must have been pretty humiliating for him. I know he's earning megga money but his professional pride is surely hurting. Not only that, a once lucrative media career seems to be slipping away. He was a regular on TV in his Stoke days when he was a number 1 but noone wants a reserve keeper as an 'expert' pundit. I hope he moves on to an Everton/Liverpool because he is too good to be a bench warmer.

He is far too good a goalie to be sitting on Chelsea's bench.
