www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35451537Certainly had our chances, to be fair. Shaqiri, in particular, really should've done better on a couple of occasions. Oh well, onto the next game, I suppose.

That goal is just horrible. The middle 4 need to hang their heads in shame especially Wilson.

I'm not having that.
We were reliably informed that we had no chances today.

Goal was very poor - never would have been that much space on the edge of our box with Whelan patrolling the middle, or with Ryan in the back four. We miss them both massively when not there. Joselu and Shaq had a couple of chances to score, but it wasn't to be. We don't create enough chances and, of those we do, we don't take enough!

Bloody hell, when you lay them all out we created enough chances to win three games.

Only listened to it but it certainly sounded like we created plenty of chances but failed to convert them. This seems to be the pattern. On the end we had Crouch,Joselu and Diouf on but still couldn't convert. On Tuesday MVG was getting into the best positions but couldn't convert. We really need a goalscorer either this window or next to move forward if we are to dream of top 6.

Too be fair, i listened on the radio and they didn't make these chances seem as good as they actual look. Damn Shaq should have scored 2 from those positions.

It was a sublime piece of skill from Zaha in all fairness who I thought was excellent today.

it was harder for shaqiri to actually miss the goal than score from that fantastic dribble - think he got over excited. apart from joselu should have hit the target but if you watched him warm up with an empty goal he was hitting the target 1 in 5 at best from 20 yards..and that was an open goal with no keeper. watching that shooting practice - crouch, joselu, bojan, shaqiri ..you can see what our problem is - finishing.

The highlights show we had our chances but missed them! On another day...
Let's hope that other day is this coming Tuesday!

The highlights reaffirm that Bojan and Oddie were getting in to the game second half and Bojan was pushing them back
Still makes zero sense why we took them off and not Jos who just had one of those days

Zaha was very good yesterday.
I'd throw him in the England squad.

Shaq's shooting is worse than Arnie's. Desperately disappointing.
We lost to the softest goal you're likely to see (well done Ireland and Wilson) and not only missed enough chances to win 2 games, but failed to even make the dodgiest keeper in the league make a save.
I keep reading how we don't create chances with shots on target often used as evidence.
For me, we created more than enough at Liverpool and palace only to consistently fail to test the keeper.
Our finishing is garbage. You only have to see the pre match drills to see just how bad it is.
The ball boy at the training ground works so hard and covers so much ground, he's just signed a new contract worth 20k per week.

Just incredibly wank finishing all round there. No wonder Sparky wants a new striker
