IMO a really hard job for Sparky this. Do you rest players or do you play the hero's of tonight? Depending on injuries this is the team I would play:
Jacob
Bardsley Muni Wilson Erik
Van Ginkel Adam
Shaq Bojan Arnie
Joselu

I think we need to rest a few league has to be priority now and we don't want to stretch some too far.
I'd go with
Jack
Bardsley Wolli Wilson (I wouldn't risk Muni) Erik
Van Ginkle Whelan (Cant see Adam being fit his injury looked serious)
Walters Bojan Shaq
Diouf

Don't think Adam will fit. I would rest Arnie and Muni as well. Bojan and Shaqiri have to play to try and regain so form. Haugaard Barsdley Wilson Wollscheid Pieters MVG Whelan Shaqiri Bojan Diouff / Walters Joselu

Who was the differently handsome chap for Liverpool who put his foot through Charlie, not long after he'd avoided bookings for at least two other similar fouls? I don't like him.

Considering Adam was on crutches, I imagine he won't be involved.

Exactly that. I watched at home (on a particularly decent stream it has to be said!) but as soon as their penalty went it, down went the laptop as if I'd be caught red handed by the tank commander and straight to the pub to cool down on my own. I fear a few neighbours may have heard a few 'fucks, piss and scouse cunts' on my way up the road. #languagetimothy

Play Wollscheid up front so he can score and we can have a pitch invasion.

To be honest I wouldnt rotate much .Palace will play a strong side and our players should feel good after their performance tonight , subject to injury I would pick the strongest team that he thinks could at least get them back to the Brit or better still win .

I'd rest the lot and try get a replay if we have to. With man Utd straight after we have to be fresh for that. They will rest all their first team on the Friday night I think it is. The players, although must be pleased with how they played, put a lot into the game and will still be gutted I think come Saturday. Fresh legs and minds and get ready for old Trafford.

You were saying before the match that we would probably bottle it and lose, so surely your expectations were met after we went out?

Judging by MH comments, a cup is very much a target, so I think a fairly strong side is coming:
Butland
Johnson Wollscheid Wilson Pieters
Van Ginkel Whelan
Shaqiri Bojan Arnautovic
Joselu
Bench: Haugaard, Bardsley, Muniesa, Afellay, Walters, Odemwingie, Diouf
I cannot see Muniesa starting after not playing for 4 months and completing a fantastic 120 minutes, too much for the lad.

Maybe false-9 but I know Palace like to stick 10 men behind the ball, so maybe not

I'd play Butland. If we do go with a weaker side he has the ability to keep us in the tie.

I'd play Butland. If we do go with a weaker side he has the ability to keep us in the tie. unless they get a penalty at which point he will simply fall over to his right before the opposition player even strikes the ball!

Butland Johnson Wolly Muni Pieters Whelan Afellay Shaq Bojan Arnie Joselu Maybe false-9 but I know Palace like to stick 10 men behind the ball, so maybe not On second thoughts, maybe not. Utd is only three days later, and quite important (although maybe not so important as to throw away any FA cup chances). Butland Johnson Wolly Muni Pieters Whelan van Ginkel Shaq Afellay Arnie Joselu Maybe with Diouf, Walters and Bo in that front three. Difficult. You'd want players who can penetrate more than anything, so Arnie, Shaq (sometimes) and Afellay are needed. Bo only if he's on song. Walters & Diouf would be tremendously useful for their defensive skills though. A scrappy 1-0 to us would be ideal.

I've give bojan , arnie and Johnson a rest.
With Adam out I'd be happy to see Ireland given some game time at some stage given he has played a few games with the 21s
