As tempting as it is to go with the Barca esk front line.. We saw at the home leg we can't do it.
Team in my opinion should be.

Never been to Anfield before and looking forward to going, hopefully we at least leave a decent account of ourselves and if we do that, we're not out of this tie by a long way!
Anyone got any idea where best to park fairly near the ground? Seen in my research a lot of places charge a tenner for parking!

Butland Johnson Shawcross / Muniesa / Cameron / Wilson (order of preference, dependant on injuries....) Wollschied Pieters Whelan Adam Shaqiri Afellay Arnautovic Joselu Bojan Walters Crouch and Diouf on the bench... This is the team for me assuming Cameron is out, put Charlie in.

I simply cannot believe the yawning chasm in terms of a blind spot for team seletion for tomorrow night.Hardly any of you got DIouf starting as centre forward tomorrow. Qhat short bloody memories you all got !!!!!!!!!!!

Best option I feel is the false 9. Works better against those so called 'big' teams. Bojan, Shaqiri and Arnie will be able to terrorise a Liverpool defence which is very shaky and conceding goals.

^Having Diouf as the centre forward would potentially be ideal, given that he could play a big part in us taking advantage of Liverpool's anathema (crosses) this season, as well as pulling Toure and Sakho out of position. However, and not to be incredibly emotionless and harsh here - he'd need to make sure that he's 100% up for it mentally and committed fully to getting us to the final. There are options otherwise (Crouch, Joselu or the false-9 formation).

We need to score goals tomorrow and that means balls into the box in the air..that is Liverpools biggest weakness.
We need the direct approach no tippy tappy passing inside their box but one touch and bang. Doesn't matter if it misses just have a go.
No passengers tomorrow.
Nobody that might not be up for it.
Walters & Diouf on second half.

Butland Johnson Shawcross Wolschied Pieter's Adam Whelan Shaqiri Affelay Arnie Crouch. Crouch? Seriously? We may as well not turn up. There's absolutely no way that he'll start.

Walters & Diouf on second half. Need to keep it tight as priority #1 IMHO. We can build pressure that way as Liverpool start to fall back as the game wears on hoping to protect what they have. If we go balls out for a goal early on and leave ourselves open at the back and concede again we will be chasing the game, if that happens we could go for a cricket score. This one is all about the clean sheet for me.

I'm with you there, Gods. Keep it tight, don't concede.
If we could get that first goal, it is absolutely game on. They will surely get a bit nervous with more to lose from the first leg and I think we would get more chances. If we could be a bit more clinical in front of goal, who knows?
My biggest worry is that we look a different side without Ryan. It would give everybody such a lift if he is fully fit.

Yes its crucial keeping a clean sheet which is a huge ask at anfield. I think we can achieve that if Ryan plays. The reality though is that we probably will need to score at least 2 goals to go through and that would be a major surprise as we have only managed that 3 times this season and one was at Donny. I fear the tie was lost after our lacklustre efforts in the home leg.

Bob on above. The world and it's mother can see Liverpool cannot defend high balls or set pieces. The false 9 system didn't work first time against Liverpool so we why should we run with it again.
Much as I despaired of a solid diet of hoof ball it does have it's place, Tuesday is it.

Qhat short bloody memories you all got !!!!!!!!!!! It surprises me as well. I'm really unsure as to what I would do with Bojan but I do believe that if we take to the field with either of the following two line ups, we will win the tie. Butland Johnson, Shawcross/Muniesa, Wolschied, Pieters Van Ginkel, Whelan, Afellay Shaq, Diouf, Arnie OR Butland Johnson, Shawcross/Muniesa, Wolschied, Pieters Whelan, Afellay Shaq, Bojan, Arnie Diouf If Wilson plays, sadly, I don't think we will score enough goals to see us through the tie and into a Wembley final regardless of what shape the rest of the team takes.

No idea where cousindupree got 3 times from. Unless I've misunderstood the post.
