Another classic I wonder whether he thinks through what he says ? I mean, really Benji ? Are you honestly this fucking negative ? You must be a delight to live with pal. The incredible thing is he posted that on Nov 29th! !! Unreal...

Really pleased and happy for Shaqiri as well as for the whole team. Seems his move to Stoke was the right choice after all. However, he is still no winger and should be a lot more effective coming from the center.

Playing well enough for another call up ? Would Roy have the bottle ? I don't see a better right back at the moment

I doubt that Hodgson would pick him, but you're right - he's having a brilliant season so far. Lots of credit to Hughes and his staff for revitalizing Glen, he looked to be past it at Liverpool, but what a signing he's been for us.

I wouldn't want him getting injured on int duty that ship has sailed for glen
Roy is rightly going in a younger direction despite some of his selection issues

When we signed him I thought it was a disaster. I'm delighted to say I was totally wrong. The lad has been superb from the off.

He definitely benefitted from the formation change so he can drift between wing and centre more. His through balls are always amazingly accurate, just the right weight of pass

He's arguably in the form of his career.
He should walk into the squad.

I must admit I knew he could play a bit but I hadn't appreciated just what a solid unit he is physically!

This board is like a lottery just recently. I've just opened a thread titled glen Johnson and it's about 60 pages of Shaqiri.

Not seen a thread on him recently.
Think he has been a real touch of class and made a huge difference to our style and shape.
Long may it continue.

Superb passer of the ball and a lot better defensively for us than I (and a lot of others) thought he would be.

I thought he made a couple of mistakes today, but hey we are not perfect. Great signing and had a great game today, especially going forward, always looking to attack! What a back five we have, THOUT SHALL NOT PASS!

I was one of those.Thing is he's playing more disciplined now than he was in his early games or indeed how he played for other teams. Hughes seems to be getting the best out of him,a bit less attacking freedom balanced out with better defending. Most of our summer signings are progressing nicely.

He is very good going forward. Set's some good chances up, and I believe it won't be long before he scores himself.

I'm not looking through rose tinted glasses, but is there a better English right back at the moment?
Clyne is poor, trippier can't buy a game and Walker is no better than Glen.
Deserves a recall in my opinion.

If there's a fault in his game he tends to get left for dead on the odd occasions against the faster players, its a split second hesitation but as said bargain of the season and its going to cost a fortune to replace him eventually.

Glen Johnson has been brilliant this season. Absolute bargain of the season. Current back 4 brilliant carry on Glen More of a bargain than Afellay? Definitely a bargain but I htink Afellay is even better value.. once again shows how worthless the concept of Net Spend is, Mr Biscuit kept saying this was the measure thta showed how little mabition we have but the relaity is pay the wages and you get the best players, net spend only tells you how poor a club is at wasting money…a competition Man Utd are winning by miles

The first goal was beautiful.
A chorus of "You fat bastard" from the Londoners.
Swiftly followed by Memphis Depay impersonating an under 6 girl attempting to head the ball for the first time.
Swiftly followed by Mr Fat Bastard neatly pulling the ball back.
Swiftly followed by the little Spanish genius sticking the ball in the net.
FOOTBALLING POETRY!!!!

He's been fucking magnificent. I always said he was more of a wing back than a right back and his defensive duties were shoddy. Glad that he has shat all over that assessment. Been brilliant, top man!
