Experienced with 54 England Caps, suits our new attacking style, pacey. Good enough for me. Bardsley has nowhere near his ability. Forgot we had Bardsley still... In that case, Rather have him as an option.

There isn't a player I've hated more in an England shirt than this clown.
Awful defender, just dreadful.

Magic Johnson? No thanks. We'd be back to Cameron by the end of the season.

I've been on an anti Glen Johnson crusade since he first played for England. The bloke is a complete and utter joke of a defender. Him signing for us won't stop the venom I've directed his way for 12 years......he's been playing for England for 12 years, Jesus wept. Ever likely in that time we've become a joke!

Well lets be honest, if he is coming to us, he must be accepting that his England career is over and underlined. Lets be positive, in his Portsmouth days he did get us a penalty out of nothing, so happy days welcome Glen......if it happens. If it doesnt he is the usual overrated sack of shite that we would all volunteer to drive to his next club

Better than Cameron and he'd add to the homegrown quota

I don't think I could take watching him every week. It's like Hughes goes, "now where I can find a right more bollocks than Geoff Cameron on a free?" every* summer**. *the past two **if he signs

I'd take him. Wages would be my only concern as it would cost way too much in my opinion. Why, do you know how much he wants to earn? Why ask such an obviously stupid question? First off, it is an opinion...one based on assumptions and fact. There are a few things stacked towards the significant potential that he would desire or maybe even expect a large wage. 1. Played for Chelski, when they were burning money to attract English players. 2. Moved to Portsmouth when they were being plane stupid with money in wages. 3. Moved to Liverpool after a bidding war, in terms of contract on offer, instead of Chelski! 4. He is home grown English, they come at quie a premium. 5. He is on a free and would therefore, not guaranteed as you are quite right I don't know Glen personally, would be wanting a pretty decent contract at the age of 30. This is his last MASSIVE deal, probably.

Even if he is as defensively ropey as people make out, he can't be as bad as Phil "we only asked you to actually defend properly about 3 times the whole of last season, and you failed every time" Bardsley?

depends how we play and what his attitude is , he is a very good player going forward but not sure I would want him in a back four away against any team with a good winger , having said that he is way above the pair we have now

Whatever you think of Johnson, he'd be the best right back on our books if he signed. We'd have 3 right backs. All 30 or above (from July 11th). All on big and long contracts. All that can't defend. Love it.

Love it. I think you're missing the reason as to why we should be worried; I think if this is true Hughes obviously sees one of those RB's working in midfield....instead of recruiting there

I enjoyed England in 2002 tbh, I was a young sprightly 15 year old who hadn't been gripped cynicism and a loathing of everything (I disliked Beckham mind the bottling cunt-lead to the first goal vs Brazil).

I'd love him to if Glenda hopefully doesn't. But who's going to take on a shite right back whose got a contract probably on 30/35k a week? It's going to be slim pickings. Awful signing.

Yes but he had a free pass for me with getting us there in the first place, one of the best things in Footy I've seen. Being older I was well and truly gripped unfortunately...forgive me
