Nice little interview on Sky just ... looks really happy and settled.
"Champions League is a target. Five years ago nobody would have thought you would see football being played at the Britannia, so why not in two, three years you see Stoke in the Champions League?"

Good,I want the players and management team confident. If we keep improving year on year, which will be hard due to players moving on and being replaced, you never know

Really hope he plays a blinder this afternoon, scores 2, then is subbed on the 60 minute mark which gives enough time for the press to forget about him and we sail through January with him in our squad.
Love the bloke.

Is that a Bojan dig at Pulis? Another PHW I see

I nearly said in the original post ... "please let's not turn this into a Pulis a thread" but thought that if I did, I might be guilty of actually doing that very thing.
So now that you've brought it up ... Please let's not turn this into a Pulis thread.

Along with many of our players he seemed to struggle with the festive season workload where the same side was put out throughout. I suspect, as has been said before that he probably suffered more than most with not having a standard pre-season behind him.
His brilliance will return sooner rather than later. Hopefully today.

I think its funny that our Catalan milky-bar kid is getting into the favourite oatcake topic. Maybe he posts on here. He must be "Pugsley" based on his anti-Pulis views

For me, it's nowt to do with 'he who shall not be named', it's that he's sailing very close to a pet peeve of mine; claiming football should be played a certain way, or 'The Right Way' *shudder* That said, he's an absolute superstar. I love the fact that players and coaches are looking up the table and saying 'why not'? Ambition is not a dirty word and it's great to see Stoke City showing some. We have, if anything, done it properly and been laying years of foundations and built the playing squad through evolution so you'd hope that whatever success might come our way isn't some 'bubble', but is rooted in exceptional management on and off the pitch. It would be great to think Bojan would be a crucial element of that success; an absolutely lovely player to watch when he's in full flow.

Stranger things have happened I suppose, but with our current owners philosophy of buying cheap and making a profit albeit a profit not remotely linked to current market value there's not a hope in hell.

Heard on Talk Sport yesterday;
This fixture is the Top of the champions Lge contenders v the Bottom contenders !
Can not remember who said it but for an unsolicited off the cuff remark I thought that is a compliment and shows how we are now viewed, and respected.
This result today is massive for both clubs.

Hopefully he plays a blinder today. But I do think he needs to be rested for a couple of games. He's still not fully over that acl injury.

I agree with aiming for Champions League eventually. We really do improve every season. It has got to be a gradual progression though, lets aim for a good Europa Campaign first. Peter Coates certainly isnt here just to take part.

Sheesh. He's had a couple of games where he wasn't as dazzlingly brilliant as normal, and yes he probably needs a rest but almost certainly isn't keen to have one.
I think he's a fantastic player with a wonderful attitude and character and that's rare in the game today.
Amazing that some people seem to think he's having some sort of crisis. He's not long back from a serious injury too, which seems to get forgotten.
Players are not machines (except Ryan obviously) and stellar performance has to be nurtured and coached, it's not like you just press a button.

A) due to the language barrier. B) because he's Bojan.

We're only 12 points off the top with a game in hand. Bigger deficits have been closed before, just saying...

He needs a game where the opposition don't work hard closing space. Oh look we are playing Arsenal...
He should be good today
