Nah, a villa fan I work with said he'd be happy with 30 points I'm already happy that whatever else happens between now and the end of the season Derby's place in the record books as the worst ever Premier League side is safe ???

According to this report, they'll be lucky to avoid a double relegation. Raised a chuckle if nothing else Jeez it must be bad if it raised a chuckle. If read funnier tombstones

Raised a chuckle if nothing else Jeez it must be bad if it raised a chuckle. If read funnier tombstones The chuckle was to acknowledge the fact that that the vast majority of those who say they don't give a toss about The Villa are now falling over themselves to have a pop

They have managed 12 points from 22 games - that is an average of 0.55 points per game.
They've got to get 28 points from 16 games to hit the magic 40 point mark - they need to average 1.75 points per game. To put that into context, Spurs have been averaging 1.75 points per game this season and currently lie in 5th.
It's a weird season, anything could happen, but I don't think it's that weird. They have had it.

Out of curiosity who do you blame for this season? Been coming since MON walked out, the blame list 1 MON for wasting so much cash on signing and paying so many poor players 2 LERNER for giving free reign to MON to do it 3 LERNER for poor leadership and poor appointments in key positions, ie FALKNER,FOX,MCLEISH 4 LERNER for trying to just survive on the cheap 5 LERNER for convincing Houllier,Lambert and Sherwood to take the job then moving the goalposts re signing and selling players and then basically hanging them all out to dry BASICALLY LERNER !

Sadly I don't think they will survive this season. It is a shame because the Premier League is being taken over by more and more plastic clubs. Villa is an old fashioned club with proper supporters who actually stick by their team through thick and thin, still getting decent gates.

As with most things in life the answer is not binary (yes or no).
It is possible but most unlikely. At a guess they have a 10% chance of staying up. Before the last two results it would have been half that.
I quite like Villa and hope they stay up but it's a real long shot.

Not a prayer Villa are doomed, they are a club in turmoil and have been the club hanging on with their finger nails for the last few seasons, they are waiting for the trap door to finally open and swallow them up et el Wigan style, they have been run in to the ground by a rich american sugar daddy hoping to make a quick buck by investing "just enough" to survive whilst he waits for a buyer to come along to make him rich and it has backfired, all this comparison with Leicester is bollocks as Leicester were a fairly decent side who were just finding their feet in the prem, they deserved more points than they got within that campaign with the performances that they put in, fortunately for Leicester it clicked for them at the back end of the season with enough time to put some points on the board and they have not looked back since.
Nah, Villa are having a spell where they are putting a few points on the board with a flukey win against Palace, they have 16 league games left to put some points on the board, the last 16 games takes them back to 22nd September losing away to Liverpool 3-2, since then in the 16 games they have played up until yesterday they have only put 8 points on the board including the 4 points over the last 3 days, I am going to be kind with 36 points keeping them up meaning that they will have to find another 24 points by either........winning all the remaining 8 home games, or doing it the hard way and gaining points away from home to add to the total.....in fairness if 36 points keeps you up Villa will need 37 as their goal difference is shocking compared to all the teams just above the relegation places.
Here is my predictions.....And I am being very, very, very, very kind here with 17 points ! A West Bromwich Albion Lose A West Ham United Lose H Norwich City Must Win H Liverpool Lose A Stoke City ??? how this season is going against shit teams, who knows H Everton Draw A Manchester City Lose H Tottenham Hotspur Draw A Swansea City Must Win H Chelsea Win H AFC Bournemouth Draw A Manchester United Draw H Southampton Win A Watford Lose H Newcastle United Must Win A Arsenal Lose
